Introduction:
is agrochemical formulation plant basically is being constructed to manufacture the Insecticides, Fungicides and
Herbicides in current phase. All the material is solid or powder like material being handled during actual
operations. Raw material and products come under category of non-hazardous, non-explosive and non-flameproof
class. Also, some of the material are hygroscopic and hydrophilic hence needs to be protected from water contact.

During phase-I construction & engineering, considerations are kept that the fire hydrant system is to be designed as
per current requirement only. Hence although in phase-II hazardous & explosive liquids would be introduced,
presently no sprinkler system to be considered as per scope of engineering. The system should be designed for
storage of fire water, pumping skid, fire water header, risers and hoses etc. Pumping skid should be enough
potential to serve entire plant including two plant buildings, administration building, Transformer and PCC room,
provisional arrangement for future plants (Foam & sprinkler system).
Scope of Work:

The Fire consultant should provide the following detailing documents -

Fire Fighting for Hydrant System
1. DESIGN BASIS REPORT
2. SCHEMATIC DIAGRAM FOR FIRE WATER PUMP ROOM
3. PIPING LAYOUT OF FIRE WATER PUMP ROOM
4. SITE PLAN LAYOUT OF HYDRANT SYSTEM
5. GROUND & FIRST FLOOR INTERNAL FOR HYDRANT LAYOUT
6. SITE PLAN LAYOUT FOR FIRE EXTINGUISHER
7. GROUND & FIRST FLOOR FOR FIRE EXTINGUISHER LAYOUT
8. GROUND & FIRST FLOOR FOR FDA SYSTEM
9. BILL OF MATERIAL
10. HYDRAULIC CALCULATION FOR HYDRANT SYSTEM
11. SPARE

Design basis comprise of Preparation & design layouts for Fire Protection & Safety System, For High Hazards Occupancy
Industrial project base at Gujarat; Design includes External Hydrant System & Internal fire escape scheme with separate layouts
for the same, Layout should be furnished for Fire Pump room and sectional layouts. Fire alarm system should be designed for
total plant areas. Necessary P&ID or schematics to be produced and approved. All the calculations to be presented basis to the
P&ID. Piping system and BOQ is also provided as a ultimate document for procurement. Enquiry Specifications should be
furnished along with item BOQ.
