Fables Short stories that have a meaning behind them,


to teach us a lesson or our morals.
Ethical Dilemma In a situation where there is no easy option to
choose, and both options may break a person’s
morals.
An Ethical Theory A model to help people understand what they
should do when faced with an ethical dilemma.

Utilitarianism The most happiness should be created for the


most amount of people, when choosing what to
do.
Absolutism There are some things which are always right or
always wrong to do.
Situation Ethics When looking at the situation the most loving
thing should be done.
Conscience The ability to know what is right or wrong in any
situation, the little voice inside our heads which
tells us what to do.
Conscience from God If our conscience comes from God, God is the
one telling us what is right or wrong to do.

Conscience from Life Experience Our conscience has to be taught what is right
from wrong, this is developed throughout our
lives.
Conscience from Role Models Conscience is developed by who we look up to,
and they influence what decisions we make.
Therefore, if someone has a bad role model
they may do bad actions because of this.

The Ten Commandments A set of Christian rules which influence how


Christians should live.
A rule Something that someone has to follow, and by
not following it they may break the law.

A guideline Something that is best if someone follows it, but


it would not break any rules if they don’t.

The 5 Moral Precepts A set of Buddhist guidelines, which help people


to be moral, and helps them break the cycle of
Samsara.
