SECOND MOTION FOR EXTENSION

RESPONDENT _________________ (the
“Respondent”), through the undersigned counsel, hereby requests for
additional time within which to file its Comment (To: Petition for
Certiorari) and in support thereof, avers as follows:

1. Respondent had earlier filed (via registered mail) a

Motion for Extension praying for an additional period of ten (10) days
or until 24 January 2018 within which to file its Comment.

2. A working draft of the Comment is presently undergoing

review and revisions. However, considering that undersigned
handling counsel was recently furnished with two more petitions filed
by a different set of petitioners also involving the very same Order
and Resolution which are the subject matter of the instant Petition,
herein respondent has to evaluate all these petitions vis-a-vis its
Comment to ensure uniformity and consistency of arguments and
proper availment of remedies.

3. Moreover, due to an unusual heavy workload and the

need to prepare other pleadings that are equally important, the
Comment could not be finalized within the requested extension.

4. Thus, herein respondent is constrained to ask for another

additional period of ten (10) days or until 3 February 2018 within
which to its Comment. Respondent has no intention to delay the
certiorari proceedings before this Honorable Court and hereby offer
their apologies to the petitioners and this Honorable Court for
whatever inconvenience this request for extension may cause.

PRAYER

WHEREFORE, PREMISES CONSIDERED, it is

respectfully prayed of this Honorable Court to GRANT the
respondent Corporation an additional time of ten (10) days or until 3
February 2018 within which to file its Comment.

Respondent prays for such other reliefs just and equitable.

Pursuant to Section 11 of Rule 13 of the 1997 Rules of Civil Procedure,

the foregoing Motion for Extension was served on the parties listed
