Ang objective nitong ebook na to is to be a guide on how you can obtain that CCNA,
how to start, how to study, and how to take the exam.
So, pag Cloud Technology – ang pinaka-focus nyan ay yung development and
implementation ng Cloud, and if you want to pursue this specialty, yung Cisco Cloud
Certifications would train you how to implement and manage yung Cisco Cloud
Solutions.
Pag sinabing Collaboration, ang focus nyan is yung Convergence ng Voice, Video, Data
and Mobile Applications. So, if yan naman yung gusto mong i-pursue na specialty,
Cisco Collaboration Certifications would also train you how to implement and manage
yung Cisco Collaboration Solutions.
Security Solutions, like VPNs (Virtual Private Network), ASA (Adaptive Security
Appliance), etc. at kung paano mo gagawing secure yung network mo against Security
threats and Vulnerabilities.
nila, having a CCNA certification would immediately give your resume a big boost, and
an added advantage against sa ibang naga-apply na walang certification.
Also, having trained for, or having achieved your CCNA certification would also indicate
to Hiring Managers of your willingness to learn kasi talagang nag-aral ka to prepare
yourself for your entry to the Networking Profession.
Networking Professional, obtaining your CCNA certification will validate your
knowledge, and isa din sya sa mga plus points for promotion.
Minsan, kahit may job experience ka it’s still not enough. Kasi yung mga kasabayan
mong naga-apply, handang-handa yan - may job experience plus certifications yan.
Meron akong estudyante before, sa abroad sya nagtatrabaho.
kanya yung mga baguhan, kasi nga, requirement nung company for promotion is a
certification.
May configurations using Packet Tracer, but mostly configurations are all Basic para
lang ma-validate yung Lectures.
After Module 1, you’ll learn these core skills:
from https://www.netacad.com/courses/networking/ccna-rs-introduction-networks
VLANs.
from https://www.netacad.com/courses/networking/ccna-routing-switching-essentials
Routing Protocols, and advanced Switch configs like STP.
from https://www.netacad.com/courses/networking/ccna-rs-scaling-networks
And lastly, sa Module 4, continuation ito nung mga advanced functions and configs sa
mga Routing Protocols and Switch configs, and Troubleshooting.
What is inside the Exam?
Ang CCNA exam ay combination ng Multiple Choice Based Questions (MCQ), Drag and
Drop, Testlet, Configuration or Simulation Type of Questions, and Simlets.
Kailangan mong i-check palagi. Pag sinabing Choose two, kailangang dalawa sagot mo
dyan.
Pag sinabing Choose three or Four, kailangang tatlo o apat o higit pa (depende kung
ilan yung sinabi) yung sagot mo.
Mali
na ba lahat?
Hindi.
Kung dalawa tama mo, at may isa kang mali – counted yung dalawa. Hindi yan right
minus wrong.
sunod. Pag mali yung pagkakalagay mo – eh di mali 😊
Ang mga Testlet type of questions sa CCNA exam mosty ay scenario based katulad ng
nasa Figure 5.
Click mo yung bawat number para lumabas yung question number 1, click mo yung
number 2 para sa Question number 2, and so on.
isang simulator, specifically Packet Tracer.
scenario, and multiple questions.
Anong difference?
2 EXAM PATH:
Kung gusto mo ng 2 exam path, you need to take these exam codes:
hinahanap sa industry, but it’s a start 😉
To obtain your CCNA certification, you also need to pass the ICND2 (200-105).
If naipasa mo na yung both ICND1 and ICND2 exam – CCNA ka na.. yey!
COMPOSITE 1 EXAM PATH
So, unlike the ICND1 and ICND2 exam, pag ang 200-125 yung exam na kinuha mo,
Dollars? oo, dollars yan kasi nga International certification yan. Kung magkano yan sa
peso, convert mo na lang.
You can take the exam anytime basta ready ka na, and syempre, may budget ka na 😉
Sigurado merong exam
center na malapit sayo. So, pwede kang mag-exam kahit nasaan ka pa.
Theoretical Part:
develop ang Critical Thinking and Troubleshooting Skill mo.
Configuration Part:
Certification Guides. Yung mga Certification Guides kasi, more on preparation na for the
exam.
Sybex Books:
Yung mga CCNA Routing and Switching books nila are all from Todd Lammle.
Ganun din, itong book na to is mainly for preparation na for the exam. Hindi sya ganun
ka-detailed yung discussion unlike sa CCNA Exploration Books.
Ang RFCs (Request for Comment), though these are not technically books, but lahat ng
vendors including Cisco.
So, bawat isang Standard and Protocol ay merong sarili nilang RFC.
batas.
So, for example, OSPF – ang RFC for OSPF is RFC 2328 (
https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc2328 ) .
Everything about OSPF, how it should work, paano yung encapsulations, para saan ba
yan etc. are defined inside the RFC.
All networking vendors must comply with the standards na binibigay ng RFC.
Same with TCP/IP, ang RFC for TCP/IP is RFC 793 ( https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc793 ).
Lahat ng standards about TCP/IP are defined in that RFC, paano sya dapat gumana,
paano yung encapsulations, etc.
So, kung gusto mo na talagang i-career yung Networking, try to read RFCs – it’s free,
and genius na genius ka after 😉
How to Study for the Configuration Part?
Meron tayong 3 Phases sa Configuration Part:
1. Configuration
2. Verification
3. Troubleshooting
and yung logical instructions installed sa kanila para ma-control mo and mapagana mo
sila ng tama based sa gusto mo.
Kaya lang after configuration, hindi gumagana – walang connection. Walang Ping.
Pero paano mo malalaman kung ano ang mali kung in the first place hindi mo alam
kung ano ang tama?
Paano ka makakapag-troubleshoot kung in the first place hindi mo naman alam kung
ano yung hinahanap mo?
Kung alam mo kung paano dapat naga-act up yung mga network devices mo, it would
be easier for you to troubleshoot.
Troubleshooting.
REAL DEVICES:
Kung gusto mong matutong mag-configure ng Real Cisco Routers and
Switches, meron kang 2 OPTIONS:
Iba-ibang training centers, iba-iba yung number of routers and switches na ipapagamit
nila sayo.
more.
Centers/Bootcamps ngayon is for familiarization sa mga Routers and Switches – hindi
routers and switches, at kung ano-ano pa.
sa Android and IOS – ganun sya kagaan)
Yung
actual configurations nila talaga are done using GNS3 (or Packet Tracer pag chipipay
at Packet Tracer:
Sybex Books.
Meron din namang ibang libro na pwede mong basahin for your CCNA.
Online Courses:
http://academy.mnet-it.com/p/ccnav3)
Nakaayos yung course in such a way na nagbi-buildup yung knowledge mo from the
very basic to the most advanced topics ng CCNA.
networks.
At lahat ng yan, pwede mong gawin at your own pace – kung ano yung available time
mo to study.
OPTION 2 – Enroll yourself in a Training
1. Bootcamps
2. Cisco Academies
Bootcamps:
Ang mga bootcamps yan ay isang fast-paced training na ang objective is to discuss to
you all topics in the CCNA curriculum in 5 days.
This type of training is not recommended sayo kung ikaw ay zero knowledge o walang
Knowledge yung training nila.
Malulunod ka sa information dyan. Do not expect na they will discuss things to you in
Yung Theoretical and Application part?
In terms of the Theoretical part ng CCNA, medyo dehado ka dito pag zero knowledge
ka or no network background ka kasi pinapasadahan lang yung mga terms. Binabanggit
na lanag nila agad as if alam na alam mo na. Kamot ulo ka na lang.
So, ganun ulit, although you will be able to configure the technologies kasi ibibigay na
nila sayo lahat ng mga configuration syntaxes, and in most cases, yung configuration
mo, and voila! Naka-configure ka na 😉
But, if you’re expecting na i-discuss nila sayo yung Verification command outputs in
details, and to discuss to you how it works, or kung ano ang ibig sabihin ng lahat ng
mga nakikita mo dun sa output – you will be disappointed. They don’t.
And if you expect to be better in the Troubleshooting part, and you expect them to teach
you the proper mindset in troubleshooting network scenarios – prepare to be
disappointed as well.
Uulitin ko, bootcamps just focuses on the Configuration Phase (The easiest of all the
phases) .
But, if alam mo na kung ano yung meron and approach nila sa mga bootcamps, and still
gusto mo pa rin mag-enroll, what are the criterias that you need to consider when
choosing the right CCNA Bootcamp center?
Cisco Academies
Cisco mismo.
When you enroll in Cisco Academies, yung CCNA training nila is offered in 4 modules –
eto yung tinatawag naman na Slow-Track Training.
Kung ikaw ay zero knowledge or no network background, this is recommended for you.
Kasi, yung curriculum na ginagamit nila is the same Curriculum as designed by Cisco
since they are accredited by Cisco.
Yung flow of lecture sa mismong Cisco Academy Training Center would follow yung
So, in terms of the detail as to what Cisco really wants you to know, covered yan dun
lahat.
Each Training Module runs for 3 months depende sa Academy na mae-enrollan mo.
So in terms of the Theoretical Part of the Curriculum, covered lahat ng mga Cisco
Academies yan. And everything is discussed in detail.
With regards naman sa Application Part, since Cisco din ang may gawa sa Curriculum
na ginagamit ng mga Cisco academies, they make sure na everything is covered with
regards sa Configuration, Verification and Troubleshooting phases.
Take note that, Cisco Academies uses Cisco Packet Tracer in their hands-on
exercises.
They have real devices, pero they are mostly just for show. Yung actual configs are
done sa Packet Tracer.
If you are interested in enrolling in Cisco Academies you can check out this blog post as
well:
http://pinoyccnaselfstudy.com/2019/01/ccna-training-philippines/
Isa sa Best Choices actually when you want to receive a CCNA Training is to enroll in
Online courses.
I know, meron kang agam-agam with regards sa mga online courses like most Filipinos
do.
But, one of the advantages of enrolling in Online courses is – you can study anytime.
for a week just to receive training.
Because the reality is, kahit sila hindi pa nila alam kung sino ang
magtuturo talaga – they just hire freelancers to teach, so hit or miss ka dyan – swerte
Some training centers they also have their own youtube channels as well, you can
check them out.
yan and preview of what you can expect sa Actual Training na babayaran mo na.
training.
Look for social proof. Reviews. Don’t enroll in a Training blindly. Know who will be
teaching you.
I’ve taught so many types of people in my Cisco teaching career – Fresh graduates,
Career shifters, Flight Attendants, the Military, may mga College instructors, even a
janitor who wanted to change his career ( by the way, he’s already in the middle east
working as a Networking Professional).
And I know how to deliver yung mga nakakantok na networking concepts so that you’ll
understand and mag-stick sa utak mo.
Application/Configuration Part:
I know, na isa ulit sa mga concerns mo for online courses is the Configuration Part.
Pero know this, Bootcamps and even yung mga Cisco Academies all uses Network
Simulators sa mga hands-on exercises nila.
Real Devices are just used for familiarization, para at least nakakita ka na ng Real
Cisco Device in real life.
And if gusto mo talaga ng mga Real devices for familiarization, pwede kang magbuo ng
https://www.facebook.com/mnetsolutions/videos/278630869709827/
Merong 3 Phases ang Application Part – Configuration, Verification, and
Troubleshooting.
And, yung mga lectures ko are done so that you would develop Critical and Analytical
Thinking for the Troubleshooting part.
configurations in the command line – http://academy.mnet-it.com/p/basiclinux
After the configuration lecture, may individual lab exercise para ikaw naman, magawa
configurations na, and based dun sa napag-aralan mo, kailangan mong ayusin yung
And alam ko kung ano yung mga problems ng mga students, and I made sure na yung
Online course ko covers everything na kailangan mong malaman to pass the CCNA
exam, and to pass a Technical Interview once naja job-hiring process ka na (But that
would be discussed sa ibang panahon na 😉 )
And I know that this is the best option for you, because I made it to be the Best 😊
Sa lahat ng sinabi ko, actually, ang pinaka-importante before you start studying is to
write down your goals.
Ano?
meaning nag-aral ka talaga, and you prepared not just for the Exam but for your Future
job as well – it is a very rewarding decision na gagawin mo, worth it lahat ng effot mo in
the end.
Bakit mo ba pinahihirapan yung sarili
mo ng ganito?
Sa mga times na yan, you always need to look back. Bakit ka ba nag-umpisa?
I’ve taught thousands of students. Some of them are now very successful. And those
successful previous students of mine have one thing in common – lahat sila gigil.
Gigil matuto, gigil mag-aral ng more than what’s needed – may willingness and
determination to learn.
At yung mga former students ko who understands that – they are the ones having very
successful careers now.
Write it down.
Print mo.
Because being successful in a Networking Career IS NOT IMPOSSIBLE. You just have
to have Determination and Willingness to Learn.
I hope na itong ebook na to enlightened you and guided yuou in pursuing your Career
as a Network Engineer Starting with a CCNA Certification 😊
