Job Profile - Sand Foundry


Melting in charge -Assistant Engineer (OCT’12 to till date)

 Follow the SOP

 Material planning for day wise production

 Grade wise charge preparation.

 Man power maintenance.


 Maintaining the life of the furnace by effective melting practice.

 Inventory reduction.

 Controlling power consumption.

 Reducing the metal loss and improve the production.

 Sound knowledge of requirements & liabilities of Planning and production needs.

ACHIEVEMENTS

 Inventory reduction done with effective practice by reducing 51% from 100% in the last two
financial years.
 Best employer of the year on 2016 and 2017.

 Internal rejection maintained less than 1.5%.

 Power consumption reduced from 1500 units to 1100 units per ton for the last two financial
years.

 Pouring achieved against plan 98% constantly.

 Metal loss reduction from 7.5% to 5.5%.

 Operating Dual track furnace and mono track induction furnace.

 Handling 8ton, 6ton, 3ton furnace with less maintenance work.

 35 heats achieved for all type of furnaces per basic lining patching without.

 10 tons/Month of Monel and Inconel alloys produced without any Deviation.


 50 Tons/Month of Duplex and Super Duplex alloys produced with effective melting
practice.

 C12A grades -N2 Maintained 280-330ppm in bath for all melts without failure.

 Caterpillar DI value achieved as per customer spec requirement.

 Zero accident in melting work area.

 Melting Time reduced without GLD.

 Maximum liquid weight melted and poured for single casting -14.0 Ton
