ROMUALDEZ, AGUSAN DEL NORTE IN ITS REGULAR SESSION HELD AT THE
SANGGUNIANG BAYAN SESSION HALL ON JANUARY 10, 2017.

MUNICIPAL RESOLUTION NO. 01-2017

A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE RELEASE OF MONETIZATION OF
LEAVE CREDITS OF NOT LESS THAN TEN (10) DAYS TO ALL
MUNICIPAL OFFICIALS AND EMPLOYEES OF THE MUNICIPALITY
OF REMEDIOS T. ROMUALDEZ, AGUSAN DEL NORTE,
CHARGEABLE AGAINST THE 2016 YEAR ENDED SURPLUS.

WHEREAS, the Civil Service Commission (CSC) Memorandum Circular No. 41, s.
1999, authorizes the Monetization when funds available not more than 50% of vacation/sick
leave credits by officials and employees in the career and non-career service whether permanent,
temporary, casual or co-terminous, however it is optional on the part of the employee who is not
interested to avail such privilege.

WHEREAS, it is of better perspective to consider the allocation of government resources

towards enhancing the welfare of its officials and employees by allowing them to monetize their
earned leave credits to capacitate in one way or another their financial needs.

WHEREAS, under Section 5 of our Appropriation Ordinance 2016, approving the

Annual Budget, explicitly provides that priority shall be given to the personnel benefits of local
employees in the use of Personnel Services Savings.

NOW THEREFORE, upon motion of Honorable Carlo E. Martinez and duly seconded
by all SB Members present, it was –

RESOLVED as this body do hereby resolves to authorize the release of Monetization of

Leave Credits of not less than ten (10) days to all Municipal Officials and Employees of the
Municipality of Remedios T. Romualdez, Agusan del Norte, chargeable against the 2016 Year
Ended Surplus.

LET COPIES of this resolution be furnished to the Office of the Municipal Treasurer,
Office of the Municipal Budget, Office of the Municipal Accountant and to all concerned for
information, guidance and record purposes.
