Application process
Step 1: The applicant is requested to complete all fields of the application form.
Step 2: The applicant is to e-mail OR post the completed application, with copies of his/her qualifications and certificates to the
membership department of the SAIMM
Step 3: Once the completed application form is received the membership department will advise the date on which this application
will be tabled via e-mail.
Step 4: At the meeting held on a monthly basis, the Membership Committee will jointly consider and decide on the most suitable
grade for the applicant based on experience, age and qualifications. The applicant cannot select a desired grade.
Step 5: The membership department will revert back as soon as possible with the outcome of your application after the meeting.
Step 6: The committee shall publish the names of all candidates for election, together with the relevant information in a notice, to
which any member is encouraged to provide feedback within a period of 21 days.
Step 7: Approximately a month after the above stated 21 days, an invoice as well as a certificate will be sent should your application
be successful.
