Fri 7th & Sat 8th The "Dirty Dozen" 12 volunteers to help clean
up at Acorn Lake. They’ll be in motorboats and kayaks picking
plastic and other debris out of the marsh. Sign up early. This is
a partnership project of Apalachicola Riverkeeper, Apalachicola
National Estuarine Research Reserve, Florida Fish & Wildlife and

Sat 8th The 31st Annual TBA Saltwater Fishing Tournament at C-
Quarters Marina, weight-in deadline 6 pm sharp. (In case of
inclement weather, tournament will be held Sunday, June 9th)

Franklin County School is offering a STEM Enrichment Camp from
June 5th-27th for all incoming 8th graders. Breakfast & Lunch

Interesting program information from my FWC Newsletter I thought I'd share for
all my anglers:
Catch a Florida Memory
Submit saltwater catches and earn rewards!
Information: These three programs reward anglers and encourage them to
target a diversity of species, decreasing fishing pressure on the most commonly
sought-after catches.
• Saltwater Fish Life List: Can you catch all 70 species?
• Saltwater Reel Big Fish: Recognition for extraordinary-sized catches.
• Saltwater Grand Slams: Earn rewards for catching three specific fish in 24
hours.
Anglers can join the new Triple Threat Club and earn even more prizes (including
a long sleeve performance fishing shirt and a chance to win a weekend getaway)
by participating in all three programs. Anglers must have at least one application
approved for each program to qualify.
FWC also manages the Florida Saltwater Fishing Records program.

Sat July 20th The 15th Annual C-Quarters Youth Fishing Tournament-Open to all
kids 16 years and younger. All entries must attend a Friday evening Fishing Clinic.
Rod & reels are furnished by FishFloridatag.org. Nine categories with three places
in each category plus trophies! Lunch provided while officials determine
tournament winners. All participants must be registered prior to the tournament.

Sat Aug 3rd & Sun Aug 4th The 16th Annual Kingfish Shootout at C-Quarters
Marina. The Captain’s Meeting at C-Quarters is Friday night on August 2nd. The
Shootout will be for kingfish & Spanish mackerel. Guaranteed payout will be
$ 16,500 with 10 places. All proceeds go to the Leukemia Research Foundation.
