Narrative: Mass media and Media persons have introduced a relatively new term to indigenous
LANGUAGE of Pakistani people: money laundering. It is a ghost hiding behind the curtain all
the time and remained out of debatable CONSPIRACIES. It is AGELESS in nature and has
multifaceted effects on every level of a country’s social and economic fabric. Due to money
laundering Pakistan is facing HORRIBLE repercussions in form of inflation, poverty, lack of
foreign direct investment, illiteracy, gender discrimination, violations of human rights and
institutional destruction. Gravity of situations being created by money laundering requires
concrete MITIGATION EFFORTS. REGIMENTING economic and political institutions should
be the first priority along with SUPERSEDING toothless outdated financial watchdog
institutions with more authoritative and powerful new ones. It will BEHOOVE the situation in
favor of foreign and domestic investment and disrupt the ageless TENURE of economic misery
in Pakistan.
