USER MANUAL

Written and developed by: Murad Elboudy

Introduction: FileSprint is a simple Wi-Fi file
transfer technology which requires only one
person to have the app.

How to get started: The sender and receiver

both must be connected to the same Wi-Fi
network. The sender then fires up FileSprint and
enables the Web Bridge, which is what
connects both/all users and enables others to
download moved/uploaded files.
You enable the Web Bridge by clicking on the
big round button. You can’t miss it.
The Web Bridge: it’s like a website which
connects the users on the local server. You visit
the Web Bridge via the IP address. Click
anywhere on the Web Bridge IP text up top to
automatically copy the IP address to your clip
board.

Open your browser of choice and paste the IP

into the URL. Tataaa! That’s the web bridge.
Other users who want to get your files or upload
will have to manually type the IP address to their
computer’s/phone’s browser. So make sure you
give it to them as well.
You can view all the moved/uploaded files by
pressing on the blue View Files button.

Start sharing files: Inside FileSprint click on the

Select Files button to choose the files you would
like to move. To choose multiple ones just click
and hold Ctrl + mouse click. After selecting all
the files you want to move you can choose to
either compress them while moving or simply
move them without compression. If it’s a large
file, 100mb+, we suggest checking the
Compress Files checkbox. Whether you
checked for compression or not the next step is
to simply click on Move Files. This will copy and
move all your selected files to the Web Bridge
server folder. It’s fast so it shouldn’t take much
time.

How to download?
Give your friends the Web Bridge IP Address. Let
them paste it into the browser’s URL and enter.
The Web Bridge appears. Click on the blue View
Files button up top. You now can see all the
moved/uploaded files. Simply clicking on them
will start the download in high-performance.

How can other users upload files?

Click on the blue View Files button, then click
on Upload. A box appears where you can
select any multiple files. Then click on upload.
Those files will be uploaded and transferred to
the main FileSprint folder of the main user who
opened the Web Bridge. Those uploaded files
will be available in the View Files section for all
others to download.
The main user -the one who opened the Web
Bridge- can simply get the uploaded files by
clicking on the files button in the far right side of
the app. All uploads exist there. So he doesn’t
have to download them.

Extras:
Ports: You can consider ports as chairs inside a
restaurant. You need a chair inside the
restaurant so you can sit and eat. A web app
also needs a chair for it to sit and function and
that’s called ports. Ports are the number
following the IP address’ colon.

So in this case 3000 is the current port, it’s also

the default port in FileSprint if you don’t enter
any. P.S. “port numbers 100 - 65535”.

Web Bridge Name: Simply type in a name for

your web bridge before enabling and that
name will appear. If you want to insure your
Web Bridge to your computer and files.
Password Protect: Check the password protect
checkbox. A popup will appear telling you to
enter a password. Typing in a password will
require all users to have that password and type
it in before downloading your files, securing your
content.
