LESSON PLAN IN ARTS

GRADE 7

Fourth Quarter

I. OBJECTIVES: At the end of the period, the students should be able to:

a) Enumerate visual elements and components of selected theatrical forms.

B) Choreograph a selected scene from drama.

c) Execute choreography for a selected scene from a drama.

II. CONTENT STANDARD:

The learner demonstrates how theatrical elements (sound, music, gesture, movement, and
costume) affect the creation and communication of meaning in Philippine Theatrical Forms as influenced
by history and culture.

III. PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:

The learner takes part in a chosen festival or in a performance in a theatrical play.

IV. LEARNING COMPETENCY AND CODE:

The learner choreograph the movements and gestures reflecting the mood of the selected
Philippine theatrical form.

VII. PROCEDURES:

a. Presenting new lesson

The visual elements and components of selected theatrical form through costumes,

props, etc will be introduced to the students.


b. Establishing a purpose of the lesson

The teacher will make the students understand that every theatrical form needs to be

choreographed to communicate it's meaning well.

c. Presenting examples/ instances of the new lesson

Examples of theatrical forms will be presented to the students.

d. Discussing the concepts and practicing new skills

The students choreograph a chosen scene from a drama.

e. Finding practical applications of concepts and skills in daily living

Theatrical forms are ways of showing the truth form our daily life. Through it we will

be able to see the truth.

f. Making generalizations and abstractions about the lesson

To understand the topic the students must understand deeply the significance of

theater.

g. Evaluating learning

The students will perform the scene from a drama that they choreographed.

h. Additional activities for application or remediation

The students will continue choreographing the scenes of the drama that they have

chosen.
