Smart Suggestion Box

CHAPTER 1
INTRODUCTION

This project is focussed on the anonymity for students for the suggestion casting
system where the students can be anonymous while giving their suggestions to the college or
authorities to resolve their problems of various difficulties. This system can be also helpful
not just in educational institution but is also helpful in different industry niches where the
employees or members can help to keep their anonymity.

The software is good to help n keeping the identity hidden but it leaves back traces
which can be detected and re-tracked making it a threat to reveal the identity. As a result, the
old system to cast the suggestion is been implemented with a new and innovative smart Box
which keeps it an integrated combination of both the old and new technology.

In today’s Competitive world of extreme requirement in improvement and in-depth

knowledge on various tasks- it has become necessary to move a step forward in stuffing the
students with knowledge and bringing them in up to show an active participating in
competing with a brilliant knowledge at a upmost level. This can only be possible when the
system changes and brings n a revolution within itself to show-off the and bring the needs
required in today’s world. How’s this possible, is the big question!

As we can see that the people suffering only know about the real situation and their
suggestion is of upmost importance to know the real face and this can only be made available
upon removing the fear amongst people/students of being identified upon postng such
suggestions. As we know that the technology has rose to a very new level but even though
some flawless can be witnessed this cannot be erased nor changed.

So, its better in getting such a new innovation of bringing in technology and manual
together to achieve something bigger than expected. The fruits which can be seen after some
time of implementing this idea!

CHAPTER 2
NEED OF THE PROJECT

We see people or students being de-motivated and as a result to the depression in

confidence on the system and pose a fear to suggest something important which may be a
threat but truth to the institute. The availability of the online suggestion casting system is a
good step but comes with a disadvantage of revealing the students casted with bad feedbacks.

This can be seen in many situations and leaves the system to deprive in quality which
can be considered a major threat or blow to any education system.

The resulting factor of this impact is too harsh in many ways as the student lose their
confidence, they try to adjust with what they get and resulting in decrease in results. The
concepts to be understood are just waived off by them and causing a loss of knowledge which
they should have supposed to achieve.

CHAPTER 3
RESEARCH
Various implementations have been done in the past. Some of the papers with their
features along with their implementations are represented as shown below:
Sl No. Name of the Paper Authors Year Features
1 Online feedback Dominik 2013  Highlights the anonymous methods
system anonymity Cirmirakis for submitting feedback
 Proposes the online feedback system.
2 Feedback based Volker 2013  Depicts an idea of the feedback
Alarm system Schulz system where a notification is
generated when an anonymous
feedback is given.
 Alarm is being generated based on
the unread notifications.

CHAPTER 4
SPECIFICATIONS

Some of the features of the proposed idea are as mentioned below:

 Immediate intimation to authorities about a Suggestion dropped in the Box. The
authorities will be notified about a suggestion dropped through this smart system and
which keeps them updated about suggestions through this simple use of modern
technology.
 Turning ON the Buzzer immediately after two or three days if the suggestion is not been
picked or removed from the Box. If the suggestion lying in the Box is ignored and are not
removed in less than the time period set, it can raise an alarm giving an indicator or
reminder to remove the suggestion ASAP.
 Students to get the advantage of complete anonymity
 The main task of all the use of technology has the main purpose to get the anonymity in
students while posting out their suggestions.
 Helpful for the authorities to encourage the feedback system and improve the quality of
education through these feedbacks.
 The Higher authorities tend to always show concerns on keeping the identity hidden, in
such a situation authorities can make the best use of this system.

CHAPTER 5
POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS

Idea 1:
To update the software without asking the posters identity

Idea 2:
To develop a habit in authorities on keeping a track of every 5 days in checking the
boxes for any possible suggestions.

Idea 3:
This Idea is converting a simple Box used at authority offices into a smart suggestion
box. It can be converted by using simple digital equipment in the Suggestion Box also called
as Smart Suggestion Box.

CHAPTER 6
SOLUTION- SMART SUGGESTION BOX

This technique is the combination of both modern equipment and a general

Suggestion Box which is in use since a very long time. The old used Suggestion Box isn’t
checked for any suggestions but know by using a modern kit been inserted into this never
opened suggestion box will force the authorities to check for the new suggestions indicated in
the signal present at the authorities office.

It can be implemented using a very low charge of money invested into it but this can
return back into a much wider use of giving back a return in terms of improvement at places
not recognised by them.

CHAPTER 7
BLOCK DIAGRAM

Figure: Block Diagram of the Implementable Circuit

Here, write down the working of the block diagram as:
1. Initially the Suggestion dropped by a person is sensed by the sensor
2. The Indicator is turned ON to get allow the authorities know for the drop in
Suggestion Box
3. The second Sensor is turned ON to start the counter for three days and detect the
presence of any suggestions lying for three days
4. If the Suggestions are still present then a second indicator is turned ON
5. If not, the Sensor is reset.

CHAPTER 9
ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES
9.1. Advantages
 Provides the person giving suggestion to hide his/her identity.
 Gives an opportunity for the Institute to keep a record on development by taking the
fearless suggestions posted out by people.
 Time to approach is minimal.
 Resulting quick decisions or improvements on suggestions.

9.2. Disadvantages
 Impossible to track down the suggestors.
 Cost of Suggestion Box increases considerably.

CHAPTER 10
EXPECTED RESULT AND CONCLUSION
10.1. Expected Result
A new revolution in the people to provide fearless suggestions for any officer or
professor may not know the identity of the person to ham the same for giving such fearless
suggestions. Improvement in quality of any work.

10.2. Conclusion
This project idea is very helpful in student’s life and every professional life while this
can provide a sense of freedom to speak at least through the medium of Suggestion also by
providing quick results to the quick reactions needed.
