Quranic Helper for Visually Impaired People
Project Description
We are Muslim. It is our primary duty to recite the holy Quran. It is difficult for visually impaired
people to recite holy Quran. There are many mobile applications for visually impaired people.
Some of iOS application for visually impaired people are LookTel, Say Text, Color Identi_er Talking
TagLV and Similarly android application for visually impaired people including Ideal Accessibility
Installer, Talk Back, Messages Keyboard etc. But these applications are mostly for talking
purpose. There exists only one website under \Al-Huda foundation". They recite holy Quran to
the Visually Impaired people. They provide just audio lecture of the Parah. Still visually impaired
people can only listen to the lecture. They need someone who will open website for them and
download the Audio lecture. Then there are two ways for visually impaired people to listen these
lectures. A digital device called Digital talking book player that is used to play the lecture, but
these devices are not easily available in the market and are also very costly. On the other hand,
Desktop Application Name \Talking book software player" is used to play these audio lecture but
still visually impaired people require help from someone that will manually load _le in to the
software and will play the lecture for them. We purposed the solution for visually impaired
people in the form of Mobile application that is helping them to recite Quran. So, they will be
able to recite Quran without paying extra amount for any digital device or can recite holy Quran
by themselves without anyone help.

Flow of the Application

User request for the desired parah and surah from the menu by following the bot instruction or
input speech by the phone mic. We are receiving user instruction by bot or dialog system. Dialog
system is guided the user verifying the constraint. If the command is not valid then the bot is
asking for the correction of command otherwise command is optimized through NLP algorithms.
The input command further processed through cloud for the desired result. Result of the
command is the audio Quran file.
Quality Standards
We used all standards and best practices for Android development. We follow Android
documentation and achieve quality in Connectivity, Device capability, Data cost, Battery
consumption and User interface and content which are core of any Android application.
After this we perform all type of testing for ensuring quality. All functional requirements are
fulfilled in our testing. We perform 36 test cases and complete summary of all these test cases at
the end of testing chapter.
