Dear guests These students are our future and we must collaboratively work together to make them
excel. Bss has established clubs and societies to provide them with a platform to polish ther gifted
abilities in a positive way. Bamun has been a signature project for BSSA for almost a decade. Four
successful BAMUNS are a proof that Beaconites are flourishing as accomplished youth who are
contributing positively in the society.
.A ceremony of investiture is symbolic of a myriad of different important aspects of human life- growth, maturity,
belief, faith, duty and sincerity, to name a few. These solemn aspects gain heightened gravity when it is young blood
that is being invested with the power to change, the power to amend, the power to guide and most importantly, the
power to learn. And BSSA ensures to empower its youth.

Dear students

I humbly offer you three key insights, represented by the acronym FAR, to help you go as far as you
possibly can in your leadership journey.

First, have Fortitude. Fortitude ,refers to the mental and emotional strength. You can encounter
obstacles and stumbling blocks along your journey of leadership, sometimes, even failures. Take them as
part of your learning joumey, and improve yourself with each challenge. As Thomas Edison said "l have
not failedd. I have just found 10,000 ways that won't work"

Second is to be ardent or in other words be passionate. Don't do things simply for the sake of doing so,
or just because it's the 'in' thing to do. Without understanding and believing in what you are doing, you
will find the things you are doing a chore. We too should strive to be ardent in the way we carry out our
tasks. As Albert Einstein once said: "I have no special talents. I am only passionately curious."

Third, be Relentless in your pursuit of excellence. Don't give up at the earliest instance or convenience.
Don't settle for mediocrity when you are able to rise above the occasion. Quoting from the author Jim
Collins: "Good is often the enemy of great", which is true, simply because the majority of people are
quite content being just good or even mediocre,.Always aim to be the best.
