Objective
To set clear guide lines to avoid any possible conflict of interest and/or awkward work
situations which may arise due to employment of relatives at Pandit Ventures Pvt Ltd
Definition
Relatives for the purpose of this policy is defined as Spouse, Siblings, InLaws and
Cousins.
Salient Features
• Pandit Ventures is determined to ensure there is no scope for favoritism,
discrimination or conflict of interest into the hiring, promotion or transfer
practices due to relatives working.
• If employed, the relative will not work in the same team and function as the
current employee.
• Employees will not be hired, promoted, transferred or otherwise placed into a
position where a relative occupies a direct or indirect supervisory responsibility.
• Employees from HR department cannot have relative working in the same
business/location.
• It is the responsibility of an employee to notify the HR and immediate manager
when the following events occur:
>> During the time of hiring process of any relative involved
>> Transfer of relative within the organization
>> When an employee becomes related to another employee due to marriage
>> Current employees who marry will be permitted to continue employment
with the company provided they don't work in a direct reporting relationship
and within same function with one another, as otherwise this may pose
difficulties for supervision and/or morale of coworkers.
>> If employees who marry are currently working in a reporting relationship
with one another, Pandit Ventures will attempt to reassign one of them to
another position for which he/she is qualified, if such a position is available. If
no such position is available, then one of the employees may be required to
leave the organization. The decision of management will be considered as final
and binding.
• This policy does not apply to temporary employment lasting less than six
months i.e., working as interns only.
• Any employee found to have been working with Pandit Ventures with identity
of relative kept undisclosed will fall under the violation of this policy and
qualify for a disciplinary action as per management’s discretion.
** Note – The company reserves the right to amend, modify and revise any or all
clauses of this process note depending upon market practices and exigencies of
business.
