TLE ICT-CHS GRADE 10

I. COURSE SUBJECT : TLE ICT-CHS

II. COURSE DESCRIPTION

This is a specialization course which leads to a Computer Hardware


Servicing National Certificate Level II (NC II). It covers two core competencies that a
Grade 10 Technology and Livelihood Education (TLE) student ought to possess: 1)
configuring computer systems and networks; and 2) maintaining computer systems
and networks.
The preliminaries of this specialization course include the following: 1) discussion on
the relevance of the course; 2) explanation of key concepts relative to the course
and; 3) exploration of career opportunities.
III. HOURS PER WEEK/SEMESTER : Four (4) hours a week / Eighty (80)
hours per semester

IV. COURSE OBJECTIVES

At the end of the course, students are expected to….

a. Learn more about entrepreneurship and the entrepreneurial


competencies related to Computer Hardware Servicing.
b. Have several activities that will align your competencies with those of
successful practitioners.
c. Think about entrepreneurship and its role in the business community as
well as in the economic and social development of an individual.

VIII. COURSE REQUIREMENTS

X. CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT
Students of this course are expected to;

1. Take and pass all short/long quizzes, Quarterly Examination. (Special Examination will be given to those students with special examination permit from the administration
office and a letter from the parent/guardian).
2. Submit subject requirements/projects promptly (journal, reflections, etc.).
3. Participate actively during recitation, individual or group activities, discussion, etc.
4. Attend class punctually and regularly. (two late/tardy will be equivalent to 1 absent, attendance must be checked by the beadle; 2 consecutive absences should present
re-admission letter signed by the dean)
5. Observe honesty and independence during recitation, examinations, and quizzes. (Student caught dishonest will be dealt with accordingly base on the school policies.
6. Act and speak decently; pin ID’s and wear the prescribed uniform.
7. Talk to the instructor concerned for any difficulties encountered in the subject for necessary assistance.
8. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the classroom; check the switch of the electric fans and lights.
9. Cell phone must be turned- off during class period.
