2. In Section I, there are questions based on a poem. Answer all questions in the spaces provided.

3. In Section II there are THREE (3) questions based on literary texts which you have studied in
class. Answer TWO (2) questions from this section on the blank pages provided at the end of
this test booklet.

4. Begin each of your answers for Section II on a new page. Place the question number and the
title of the literature text selected at the top of each page of your answer.

5. You should spend approximately 30 minutes on Section I and 90 minutes on Section II.

You are required to use a different text (novel, short story, poem or play) for each question. The
texts you choose must be ones that you studied in class. Write the full name of the text (novel, short
story, poem or play) on the first line of your answer to each question. Refer to the texts to support
your answers. Your responses should be in essay format.
