Manifesto for Cultural Secretary

Formation of Clubs and Club Secretaries

 Various clubs such as
 Dance club
 Dramatics club
 Music and singing club
 Art and craft club
 Literature club
 Quiz club
 Animation, photography and Cinematography club
 Heritage club

will be formed.

 Minimum 5 students will be required to start a club.

 Students can participate in at most 3 clubs.
 Club secretaries will be elected by club members.
 Monthly tasks would be given.

Medical, Blood Donation Camps, festival celebrations, interact clubs

 Medical camps would be organized semi annually.
 Also a blood donation camp will be organized.
 An Interact club will be made so that students can learn about how the different clubs in
different institutions works, and apply the same techniques here as well.

Equality of Opportunity
 Each and everyone would be given equal opportunity on basis of their talent and their
interest.

 Platform will be provided to everyone at every level – be it the beginners, the experienced
or just the enthusiasts. For the people who are already at the zenith of their cultural
endowment, they will be provided bigger and better platforms to showcase their talents
and groom them. For the beginners, who want to explore the various genres of cult, they
will get the chance to do so throughout the year.
 My ideology rests upon three pillars: Exposure, Excellence and Execution.

 Exposure – Be it high-preparation events, or casual sessions, everyone should be able to

pursue their hobby to the limit of their passion.

 Excellence: IIIT Bhagalpur’s most talented performers should get the opportunity to
display their talent at the most prestigious avenues.

 Execution: Flawless execution of cultural events, which cater to the needs and demands
of the student community, would be the prerogative of the cultural council.

Diversity
 Not only the culture of Bihar or western, regional culture (of any state) will also be given
importance.
 Also a College Band would be made.
 This culture council will not only be limited to clubs, but will also use technological
support as well.
 We will try to make a club portal where everyone could register themselves
(irrespective of club), can learn what is happening inside the club.
 We will also try to make this portal more convenient by providing videos of various club
activities, issues (like drama script, lyrics for song, tone for music, lessons on literature
work, quiz notes, etc) so that the students can remain updated.
 By this the students who are not participants of the clubs can also try such activities and
show their talent during event auditions. This will also reduce fear of stage
performance.

Talent Search Competition

 Everyone has an online presence today. Through Whatsapp, Facebook or You Tube, I would
bring out those hidden talents, showcase their skill and make them an active member of the
institute as well as hostel cultural scene.
 Also a Talent Search Competition will be organized for newcomers.
 Also for students, who are having stage fear or fear of public performance can contact to
club committee and show their talent. They can also learn from their hostel the different
club activities and in the mean time committee will try to reduce their stage fear.
 Timing, Space Allocation and Stress Free work
 For all the club participants,
 During Club hours, timing will be allowed till 2000 hrs and till 2100 hrs during events and
competitions. (After consulting from faculty members)
 Also proper room will be provided to all clubs either in CAC or in College as per availability.
 Also dues would be given on H.W.s and assignments during event/competition preparation.

 Also there would be synergy between all the three activities (sports, culture and technical
clubs) so that student participating in others would not be overburdened.

Transparency
 Committee will be formed including General Secretaries, Club Secretaries and acting
secretary of clubs, 4 student representatives (2 from 2nd year and 2 from 1st year).
 Decision would be taken on reviews, and support from college.
 Final decision would be mostly taken after considering everyone’s opinion and general
voting.

Funding
 For events and competitions proper budget will be made and also sometimes public funding
will be conducted. Also equipments would be provided.

Inter college competitions and initiation for culture fest and

N.C.C.
 Intra and Inter college competitions would be organised.
 For Inter-College activities, consideration would be given on competitions between BCE,
Bhagalpur Agricultural College and IIIT.
 Also initiation would be given for College Cultural Fest with public and corporate funding.
 We will also try to raise money by renting some stalls (like in school fetes).
 Initiation would also be given to N.C.C. so that students can become more social, increase
their leadership qualities and enjoy camps.

Certification and College Annual Magazine

 Certificate would be provided to all winners in various competitions.
 Also a consideration would be given to College Annual Magazine. (After consideration from
College)
 If I win
 After the victory, in first week nominations for club would be received.
 In second week, club would become active with election of club secretaries.
 Also the committee would be made in the same week.
 From same week, club tasks would be given and club calendar would be made as per
everyone’s convenience.
 Committee would be made from third week.
 Proper training would be given to beginners by the one who are talented and achievers.
 Also video lessons would be provided to them.
 With the help of technical students, a portal will be made to provide video lessons of club
activities as well as tasks would be provided.
