Task: Peer Reviewer: Observation Form
any ideas beyond redirection on how to keep the conversation safe and appropriate for everyone?
While completing my observation, all students were seated quietly throughout the room. Shannon walked around and told
each student what they were expected to be working on. Of the 7 students, 2 had everything finished, 2 were semi
working and the other 3 weren't. All students were quiet and respectful throughout the observation. No unsafe/
inappropriate conversation occurred.

Shannon was consistently checking in with her students to monitor how they were doing on assignments, holding them
accountable even though she knew they weren't actively working, which was a great strategy so they did not feel
attacked. Saying things like, "Do you need help on your paper?" and "How is your worksheet coming along?" Great!
Shannon did a nice job with the kids in her classroom. It is a different environment than a typical classroom, and students
were respected and held accountable even if they were not working. Behavior was in control which is a huge part of the
goal!
