Dear friends, if someone were to ask you, which is more important, beauty or brains…which one would you
choose?

Well, friends……beauty and brains are two important factors for humans. Some people would prefer having
beautiful and feel they are very lucky. On the other hand, some people would prefer having brains.
Personally, I believe that having brains is more important than beauty. There are several reasons why I
believe that having brains is more important than beauty.

First of all, beauty would not last for lifetime. Beauty fades with time compared to brain that will last
forever. The appeal of beauty will definitely fade by the course of time. Moreover, physical beauty is only an
added quality. A beautiful woman or a handsome man would find himself or herself helpless and worthless
when they lose their beauty. If you have brain it will last almost your entire life before you lose it. You can
accomplish a lot more through your life with brains than you can with beauty.
Moreover, it is important to have good qualifications to excel in life. Universities do not accept you
because you are pretty or handsome. They accept you because you are smart. If you are smart enough, you
can even earn scholarships. They do not give out scholarships to beautiful people. Instead, they give them
out to people with brains and talent.

Besides, having brain will surely get you much further in life than beauty. This is because you need
brains to pass examinations to get through primary school, to get through secondary school, to get through
college, to get through university and to get a good job. Brains will always be more important as you usually
get paid more based on your educational level.

Apart from that, beauty is not a necessary element in becoming successful. There are many people
who have done so well in life although they were not beautiful or handsome. One good example is Albert
Einstein. People like Albert Einstein became successful just on the basis of his talents and brain.

No one can deny the fact that intelligence is more important than beauty. Think about it this way
instead. It is your birthday and you were given a present by your parents. What do you think you would like
better?

Hence, there is no doubt that brain is far more important that beauty. Even if you have beauty and
you do not have a brain you are still useless. However, if you have a brain even without beauty you can still
do whatever you want. What is beauty if your brain is empty? As we all know, we are different from an
animal only for our brain.
