 BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN INFORMATION
TECHNOLOGY (BSIT)
The BS Information Technology program includes the
study of the utilization of both hardware and software
technologies involving planning, installing, customizing,
operating, managing and administering, and
maintaining information technology infrastructure that
provides computing solutions to address the needs of an
organization.
The program prepares graduates to address various user
needs involving the selection, development, application,
integration and management of computing technologies
within an organization.

PRIMARY JOB ROLES
WEB AND APPLICATIONS
DEVELOPER
Web developers design and
build websites. They are
typically responsible for the
appearance, of the site and
technical aspects, such as site
speed and how much traffic
the site can handle. Web
developers may also create site
content that requires technical
features.
JUNIOR DATABASE
ADMINISTRATOR
Junior Database Administrator
(Jr. DBA) position is responsible
for monitoring, maintenance
and operational support of our
entire portfolio of databases.
Maintain reliability, stability
and data integrity of the
databases. Provide support in
the administration, backup,
integrity and security of
various SQL databases.
Responsible for database tasks.
SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR
The role may include some
mundane tasks, but each one
is essential for the continued
running of IT operations, to
prevent problems and to
improve systems’
performance. The system
administrator is there to keep
the company’s network safe
and running efficiently.
NETWORK ENGINEER
Network engineers are
responsible for building and
maintaining the day-to-day
operation of computer
networks that companies and
organizations rely on. These
networks typically include an
intranet, extranet, local area
network (LAN), and wide area
network (WAN).

SECURITY ADMINISTRATOR
A Security Administrator is
basically the point
man/woman for cyber security
systems. The information S.A.
is responsible for network and
computer security and his/her
primary responsibility is
related with the administration
and installation of security
devices and providing
consultation and creating a
general awareness on the
security.
SYSTEMS INTEGRATION
TRAINEE
System Integration Managers
manage staff, implementation
teams, and workgroups to
communicate and monitor
system requirements and
technical issues.
IT AUDIT ASSISTANT
Information Technology (IT)
Auditors help organizations by
protecting their internal
controls and data within their
technology system. They
safeguard sensitive
information by identifying
weaknesses in a system’s
network and creating
strategies to prevent any
security breaches in the
technology.
TECHNICAL SUPPORT
SPECIALIST
Technical support specialists
provide technical support,
advice, and assistance to
consumers and businesses
with technical, hardware, and
software system problems.
Specialists generally deal
directly with end users and
must effectively communicate
answers in a way they can
understand.

SECONDARY JOB ROLES
QA SPECIALIST
Quality Assurance specialists
perform quality tests during
production to identify and
correct any work-in-progress
issues. They create and
implement monitoring
processes and ensure that
production employees are
adhering to standards and
safety guidelines.
SYSTEMS ANALYST
Systems analysts analyse how
well software, hardware and
the wider IT system fit the
business needs of their
employer or of a client. They
write requirements for new
systems and may also help
implement them and monitor
their effectiveness.
COMPUTER PROGRAMMER
Computer programmers write code
to create software programs. They
turn the program designs created by
software developers and engineers
into instructions that a computer can
follow. Programmers must debug the
programs—that is, test them to
ensure that they produce the
expected results. If a program does
not work correctly, they check the
code for mistakes and fix them.
