Exhaust Gas Pressure Sensor Number 1 Circuit

Circuit Description

The exhaust gas pressure sensor provides the exhaust gas pressure to the exhaust gas treatment
monitor unit through the exhaust gas treatment monitor harness.

Component Location

The exhaust gas pressure sensor will be located near the inlet to the exhaust catalyst. The location
will vary depending on application.

Shop Talk

Possible causes of this fault code include:

 Open return circuit in the harness, connectors, or sensor

 Signal circuit shorted to sensor supply or battery voltage.

This fault code will only be present in the exhaust gas treatment monitor unit and will not be present
in the engine electronic control module (ECM). The exhaust gas treatment fault code and
maintenance lamps will both flash one time in sequence to alert the operator that this condition
exists. The engine diagnostic lamps will not illuminate.
