Baggage

Hold baggage checked in

To make your flight with Iberia safer and more comfortable, transporting your baggage must meet certain conditions
so it can be carried out free of charge.

p>When you leave your baggage at the check-in desk or at the Fast Bag Drop (Baggage Delivery Point), you will receive a label (receipt)
that you must retain until you collect it at your destination.

Size and weight of baggage

Make sure that you comply w ith the follow ing size and w eight limitation so you
can take your baggage free of charge:

Size (standard) : the total length+w idth+height of each item must not exceed
158 cm, including strap, pocket and w heels (expect for certain special
baggage)

Weight (standard) : Each item that you check w ill have a free maximum
w eight of 23 kg. If the item exceeds 23 kg and w eighs up to a maximum of
32 kg, an excess baggage charge of € 60 per item w ill apply. Tickets issued
w ith resident discount in The Canaries, Balearics, Ceuta and Melilla, an
excess w eight charge of 15€ w ill be applied on the first suitcase, except for
IB5000 series flights. Under no circumstances w ill baggage in excess of 32
kg* be accepted.

* Certain individual items of baggage (pieces), such as musical instruments, TV cameras, commercial spare parts, etc., w eighing
betw een 32 kg and 45 kg may be allow ed, taking into account special excess w eight and w ith a charge of € 150.

If you w ish to transport special sports equipment that exceeds the established sizes and w eights, please consult the information
available about special baggage.

(1) T o/from Brazil, the authorised weight will be 32 kg instead of 23 kg, which will be applied on the inbound as well as
the outbound journey.
(2)A free baggage allowance for 3 standard items in Business and 2 standard items in tourist applies to/from Equatorial
Guinea (application period for tourist class: from 16/01 to 15/06 and from 21/09 to 20/11). A free baggage allowance
for 2 standard items in tourist applies to/from Nigeria and Senegal.
(3) Standard item: maximum size and weight 158 cm and 23 kg.

If you bought your ticket before 1 March please check the free baggage allow ance that applies to you. If you have any
doubts about the free baggage allow ance that applies to you, check w ith bookings m anagem ent or at your electronic
ticket.

For flights operated by Iberia, Club Fiesta Iberia, Iberia Plus Silver, Gold and Platinum cardholders can alw ays check in an extra item (up
to 23 kg) to the amount w hich appears on their ticket free of charge.

Children aged tw o and over have the same free baggage allow ance as adults. Children aged tw o and under on an infant’s ticket w ill
have the same free baggage allow ance as the adult w ith w hom they are travelling, plus a foldaw ay chair/stroller.

If you w ish to check in extra item s to the free baggage allow ance, you w ill have to pay an additional cost for excess baggage.

Travelling on connecting flights and/or with another airline.

Remember that each airline that operates a flight sets the free baggage allow ance that passengers can take on its flights w ithout any
charge and in line w ith its w eight, dimensions and content limitations and the conditions of each airline. Details about the airline that is
operating your flight are available at bookings m anagem ent. Check w ith the operator airline to confirm your free baggage allow ance
and other restrictions.

The most beneficial free baggage allow ance for the customer w ill apply to direct Iberia flights (origin – final destination) w ith several
connecting routes. If you have bought different tickets, each free baggage allow ance w ill be apply separately to each ticket.

If you are travelling on a code share flight, i.e., if your flight number corresponds to the IB-5000 or IB-7000 series, the baggage
regulations of the airline operating this flight w ill apply.

If your ticket includes Iberia flights or flights by another airline, the free baggage allow ance of the first company operating the first
route w ill apply. If it is Iberia, the first airline w ill apply the free baggage allow ance that appears on the ticket. If you have bought
separate tickets and for different airlines, the free baggage allow ance of the corresponding operator airline w ill apply to each ticket.
Additional free baggage allow ances offered by each airline w ill only be valid for flights by that airline.
