National Skill Training Institute (NSTI) Kolkata, Dasnagar, Howrah 711105 is an institute
under Directorate General of Training, Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship,
Government of India will be conducting Craftsman Training scheme (CTS) / ITI courses under
the aegis of NCVET for the session commencing form August 2019 in the following trades:

• COMMENCEMENT OF THE COURSE: The Course will commence wef August,2019.

• SELECTION: Selection shall be made on merit basis as per Govt. of India norms.

• AGE: Candidates should ordinarily be between 14 to 40 years of age as on August 2019
and the maximum age limit permissible for Ex-servicemen and war widow is 45 year.
• STIPEND I SCHOLARSHIP: 25% of total nos. of trainees on roll will be entitled to get stipend
@ Rs. 100/- per month on poverty cum merit basis. 4% of the total nos. of trainees will be
awarded merit scholarship of @ Rs. 125/- per month on the basis of internal examination
after six months.
• RESERVATION: Reservation are applicable as per Govt. of India rules for Women, SC, ST,
OBC, EWS, PH, wards of defence personel, son / daughter of serving DGT staff.

Hostel Rent, Hostel Service Charge & Hostel Caution Money (Refundable) to be paid extra in

• HOSTEL FACILITIES: Limited number of hostel seats are available at the institute for both male
and female trainees which will be allotted to deserving trainees at the normal hostel rent after
admission.
• HOW TO APPLY: Candidates desiring admission may obtain application form and and other
details from the Institute on payment of Rs. 25/- in cash and Rs. 50/- shall be charged towards
Registration fees (No Registration fee for SC/ST/PH Candidates). Filled application form is to be
submitted along with latest Passport size Photographs. The application form can also be
downloaded from the institute website, www.atihowrah.org.in. Downloaded application duly
filled can also be submitted to the institute with fees (cost of application Rs.25 + Reg. Fees Rs.
50 as applicable).The same filled up application with Demand Draft drawn in favour of "ATI
Kolkata Dasnagar, Howrah "payable at Howrah for Rs. 25/- (SC/ST/PH) or Rs. 75/- (other
candidates) can be sent by post. Incomplete application as stated above will be summarily

 GENERAL INFORMATION CUM INSTRUCTION FOR ADMISSION TO CTS UNDER NC VET
1. Reservation of seats — Seats are reserved for SC, ST, OBC, EWS, Women, PH (who are having aptitude and are otherwise fit to undergo the required training),
wards of Ex-servicemen/Jawan killed in action/Defence personnel & Son/Daughter of DGT staff as per rule of DOT.
2. Age — Between 14 and 40 years on 01.08.2019. 45 years for Ex-servicemen and War widows.
3. Selection — Selection will be made strictly on order of Merit.
4. Tuition fee — Rs. 150/- (Rupees One Hundred Fifty) per month for all trades Except SC/ST/PH and Rs. 50/- (Rupees Fifty) per month for all trades for SC/ST/PH.
5. Certification — Certificate from National Council for Vocational Education and Training will be awarded to the trainees on successful completion of the course.
6. Class Hours — From 9 am, to 5.30 pm with '/2 hr. Lunch break on all working day (Monday to Friday).
7. Attendance — Minimum 80% attendance is required to appear in the Final Examination.
8. Stipend / Scholarship — 25% of total nos. of trainees on roll will be entitled to get stipend @ Rs. 100/- p.m. on poverty cum merit basis. 4% of the total nos. of
trainees will be awarded merit scholarship of@ Rs. 125/- p.m. on the basis of internal examination after six months.

INSTRUCTION FOR FILLING UP THE FORM

Before submitting the application form check the following:
1. Whether trade, caste, category codes are written correctly. SC/ST/OBC/EWS certificate must be issued by the Competent Authority.
2. Entries in respect of 51. No. 1(e) to 1(k) and 2 are to be verified and signed by the applicant & Guardian.
3. Photograph affixed on the space provided for it.
4. Whether all given particulars are filled with local guardians name, relationship, address & Mb. No. etc.
* If Physically Handicapped, mention the % of disability at respective place.
6. Signature of both candidates and his/her father/guardian is essential.
7. Defective and incomplete application will be rejected automatically.
8. No correspondence will be made regarding selection for admission. Merit list will be displayed on the Notice Board of NSTI, Kolkata, Dasnagar, Howrah in 3" /
4th week of July 2019.
9. Trainees found medically unfit on admission should be discharged forthwith by the Head of the Institute.
10. Attested / Self certified copies of certificates / testimonials need not to be attach with the Application Form.
