PULONG HOSTS DINNER FOR LAWMAKERS

lawmakers for an "evening of
frllowship " in Malacaflang on
Tuesday night.
Also with them were Madn-
duque Rep. Lord Allan Velasco and
trampanga Rep. Aurelio Gonzales.
Both are eyeingthe post of House
speaker
The younger Duterte hosted the
dinner at the Malago Lounge in
Malaaaflang Park.
"lt was an evening of fellow-
ship to welcome the neophltes
and get everybody acquainted
before we buckle down to work
in the 18th Congress starting
next month," Velasco said in a
statement. He added that the
dinner was a 'good opportunity"
for the congressmen to meet the
President.
"We want to foster camarade-
rie among the incoming mem-
bers ofthe 18th Congress so
wg tarlwprk harmoniously and
forward our Iegislative agenda,
as well as the administration's
priodty for the next three years,
in orderto uplift the lives ofthe
Filipino people and sustain the
country's econo mic growth, "
he added.
Ronald Cardema, whose substi-
tution for the Duterte Youth par-
ty-list has been questioned before
the Commission on Elections, was
also present.
The President is setto announce
his bet for speaker on June 28.
