The JSC “Elektromreža Srbije (EMS)” has received financing from the KfW Development Bank toward the
cost of the Construction of 400 kV Single Circuit Transmission Line Kragujevac 2 - Kraljevo 3 and
extension of Substations Kragujevac 2 and Kraljevo 3 and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this
loan to payments under the contract for Procurement of works and supply of equipment and materials
for construction of 400 kV Single Circuit Transmission Line Kragujevac 2 - Kraljevo 3. The Pre –
qualification process will be guided by the latest version of the “Guidelines for Procurement of Goods,
Works and associated Services in Financial Cooperation with Partner Countries”.

JSC “Elektromreža Srbije” intends to prequalify contractors for Procurement of works and supply of
equipment and materials for construction of 400 kV Single Circuit Transmission Line Kragujevac 2
- Kraljevo 3. It is expected that invitations to Bid will be made in March 2019.

Project description:

The transmission line to be built under this project is one of elements of the transmission network which
is planned to be built in the first stage of the transition of the 220kV transmission network in the
Western Serbia to the voltage of 400kV. Connecting original 220/110kV Kraljevo 3 Substation to the
400kV system is increasing network efficiency and safety and it is improving operation of the 220kV
transmission network from Bajina Bašta to Niš.

Subject Procurement refers to the 400kV overhead transmission line only. Duration of the contract for
implementation shall be 22 months.

Scope of work:

The contract scope includes supply of all still necessary equipment and materials, transportation,
insurance, packing, unloading, temporary storage, construction works, provision of access roads, all
necessary tests, preparation of As – Built Design, commissioning and warranty during Defect Notification
Period of the 400 kV Single Circuit Transmission Line Kragujevac 2 - Kraljevo 3 with approximate length
of 59km.

The Contract will be based on FIDIC’s Conditions of Contract for Construction for Building and
Engineering Works Designed by the Employer, MDB Harmonized Edition 2010 (FIDIC Pink Book).

Prequalification and tendering for contracts to be financed with the proceeds of a loan from the Bank is
open to firms and joint ventures of firms from any country, except otherwise it would contradict the
Bank’s procurement policies and rules.
