    the male and female neutral face and
    six key expressions as follows:

    • happiness
    • sadness
    • disgust
    • surprise
    • anger
    • fear.

    While consulting a physical planar reference


    is invaluable, these images will give you
    an idea of how the planes move as a
    result of facial expressions, providing a
    foundation from which you can develop.
    Male expressions will be followed by female.
    Use this chapter alongside the previous one
    to build your confidence when it comes to
    constructing the human head from different
    angles and in varying countenances.
