Tanzania Mortgage Refinance Company (TMRC) issued tranche 2 of the Medium Note
Programme (MTN), at a fixed coupon rate of 13.46% per annum as approved by the Capital
Markets and Securities Authority (CMSA). The offer was opened to the public on 30th May 2019
and closed on 10th June 2019.

TMRC is pleased to announce the successful subscription of the above mentioned Medium Note
Programme which is in line with the company’s target. Through the said Medium Note
Programme, TMRC has successfully raised TZS 9,283,600,000 which is higher than the expected
amount of TZS 8,000,000,000, representing a subscription level of 116.05%.

This is another significant milestone that signifies confidence that investors have on the
company and the Capital markets in Tanzania after a successfully tranche 1 of the TMRC MTN
issued in June 2018 and oversubscribed by 4.3%.

The CMSA has approved the bondholders’ register reflecting these results, ready for crediting
the allotted bonds in the respective bondholders’ Central Securities Depository (CSD) accounts.

The five year Tranche 2 Bond will be listed and commence trading on the Dar es Salaam Stock
Exchange (DSE) on 1st July 2019 under the Code TMRC-19/24.T2 and will be paying coupon on
21st December and 21st June.

making the issuance a reality and successful. They include the Board and Management of CMSA;
Orbit Securities Ltd, the Lead Arranger, Placing Agent and Sponsoring Brokers; Abenry and
Company, the Legal Advisor; PWC Tanzania, the Reporting Accountant; and Azania Bank Ltd, the
Receiving Bank.
