Guideline for Insert Pump Application

1. Basic String Configuration

2. Tactical Team shall send 1 set of Insert Pump Assembly to designated location consist of Pump Assembly and
Seating Nipple for particular Pump Size.
Please follow general guideline below for string and rod size :

If Existing Sucker Rod size inside wellbore either 7/8” or 1”, and sucker rod x-over from ¾” to those size is available
at Material Team (Tactical), please use existing sucker rod size and request for the x-over (Not required to change
the sucker rod size into ¾”)

INSERT PUMP
Means :
 Use 2-1/4” Insert Pump (use Table at point no. 2 above as reference)
 Use 3-1/2” Tubing Size (use Table at point no. 2 above as reference)
 Seating Nipple Depth = PBTD – 40’ or if there is any note in recommendation please follow the written
recommendation.

5. Trip In Hole and Trip Out Hole Procedure :
Please follow QSOP which has been developed by Rig’s Contractor

7. Precaution :
 Please be cautious during lifting and rigging process of the insert pump assembly  avoid pump rod bending.
 Ensure all the tally are approved and checked by WSM to avoid misperception during test pumping.
Identify root cause if test pumping process fail to get the pumping pressure whether it caused by :
1. Incorrect tally, or
2. Insert Pump not seat correctly on seating nipple.
 Ensure all the procedure are followed during execution.
 Ensure all tubing are rabbited with the correct size (minimum as same size as mechanical lock – top anchor size)
