Qualilications for Assistant Professor:

Essential:
(i) Good academic record as defined by the concerned university with at least 55%o marks (or an equivalent gradc irl
a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master's Degree level in a relevant subject from an
Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. (Relaxable as per UCC rules in
respecl of reserved categories)
(ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must haye cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET)
conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.
(iii) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-clauses (i) and (ii)to this ClaLrse, candidates. who are. or have been
awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the U.C.C. (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D.
Degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted fionr the reqLrirerrent of rhe nrininrum eligibility condition of
NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Prof'essor or equivalent position in
Univer sities/Colleges/lnstitutions.
Exemption of NET is permissible to the candidates who have -
(l) obtained M.Phil Degree on or before l0'r'July2009.
(2) obtained Ph.D. Degree on or before J l'' December 2009.
(3) registered for Ph.D. on or before l0'r'July 2009 and subsequently awarded rhe Ph.D. Degree.
( iv) NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such Masters Programrnes in disciplines fbr which
NET/SLET/SET in not conducted.
Desirable:
(i) B.Ed./M.Ed. for all posts ofAssistant Professors.

Important Instructions:

6. lnstitute reserves the right to cancel/postpone the lecrLritmenl process at its discretion.
7. Offer ofappoinlment will also be sent through E-rnail only.
8. Separate application is required fbr di11'erent post.
9. The contractual engagement will confer no right to claim the post on regular basis.
10. The engagement will be made as per the need ofthe Insrirure.
ll.The lnstitute reserves the right to terminate the contractual engagement at an) time !vithout
assigning any reason thereol'.
12. Reservation would be applicable as per COI rules.
13. Those who have served RIE, Ajmer for three sessions ne€d not apply.
14. Application forms not presented one hour before the scheduled time of interview will not be
entertained.
15. It is the responsibility of the candidates to cnsure that they fulfill the eligibility
conditions/criteria in terms of educational qualifications etc.
