EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 022 - A

Series of 2018

AN ORDER CONSTITUTING THE BARANGAY DISASTER RISK REDUCTION AND

MANAGEMENT COUNCIL (BDRRMC) OF KINAWAHAN, SAN REMIGIO, CEBU.

WHEREAS, Section 387(b) of Republic Act 10121, states that the Sangguniang Barangay
may form community brigades and create such other positions of offices as may be necessary to
carry out the purposes of the barangay government in accordance with the needs of the public
service;

WHEREAS, for efficient, effective and economical governance, the purpose of which is the
general welfare of the Barangay and its inhabitants (Sec. 389) (60), the Punong Barangay shall
organize and lead an emergency group whenever the same may be necessary for the maintenance
of peace and order or emergency or calamity within the barangay;

WHEREAS, PD 1566 mandates the organization of disaster risk reduction and management
coordinating council in all level of government;

NOW THEREFORE, I EVELIA C. AMOROTO, Punong Barangay of Barangay Kinawahan,

San Remigio, Cebu, by virtue of the powers vested in me by Laws, do hereby order the constitution
of the Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council.

Section 1. Composition of the following shall compose the necessary groups and task force, to wit;

Section 2. Disaster Operation Center shall be at the Barangay Hall.

Section 3. Functions of Barangay Disaster Risk reduction Management Council (BDRRMC)

a) Established the Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction Management(BDRRMC)
b) Coordinate from the Barangay Disaster Operations Center the Disaster Operation Activities
of its task units;
c) Implement within the Barangay the guidelines by the MDCC;
d) Advises the members of the Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council
(BDRRMC) regarding disaster management;
e) Submit Recommendation to the MDCC as necessary.

Section 4. This order shall take effect immediately and shall remain in effect unless otherwise
repealed and/or superseded by succeeding orders.
