Sensors and their purpose .

1- Tempreature sensor module .

A temperature sensor is a component that senses temperature and converts it into output
signals. By material and component features, temperature sensors can be divided into two
types: thermal resistor and thermocouple. Thermistor is one kind of the former type. It is made
of semiconductor materials; most thermistors are negative temperature coefficient (NTC) ones,
the resistance of which decreases with rising temperature. Since their resistance changes acutely
with temperature changes, thermistors are the most sensitive temperature sensors.

2- Vibration switch module .

The Vibration sensor switch is used for vibration detection.This sensor has two contact
pins.When an external force is acted upon either by movement or vibration, the sensor's two
contact pin are closed and contact is made between the two pins. When the force is removed
the sensor terminals returns back to open contacts.It is commonly used in electronics toys,
alarm, domestic appliance, electronics devices, smart home system .

3- Hall megnatic sensor module .

Based on the Hall Effect, a hall sensor is a one that varies its output voltage in response to a
magnetic field. Hall sensors are used for proximity switching, positioning, speed detection, and
current sensing applications.

4- Key switch model .

A key switch (sometimes called a lock switch to distinguish it from a keyswitch) is a switch that
can be activated only by the use of a key. They are usually used in situations where access needs
to be restricted to the switch's functions.

5- Infrared emission sensor model .

Infrared emitter converts electrical energy into near-infrared light. It is also known as infrared
emitting diode. Its structure is similar with a general light emitting diode, but made of a different
semiconductor material. The infrared receiver is set to receive, amplify, and demodulate the
near-infrared light into a digital signal.

6- Small passive buzzer model .

A passive infrared sensor (PIR sensor) is an electronic sensor that measures infrared (IR) light ...
Infrared radiation enters through the front of the sensor, known as the 'sensor face' .
7- Laser sensor moduel .

In the broadest definition, a sensor is a device, module, or subsystem whose purpose is to detect
events or changes in its environment and send the information .

8- 3-color full-color LED SMD modules .

A complete color detector that consists of a TAOS TCS3200 RGB sensor chip and 4 white LEDs. It
can detect and measure a nearly limitless range of visible colors to a certain degree .

TCS3200 uses a 8- pin SOIC surface mount package

Working voltage: 3-5V DC; PCB size: 2.4 x 2.8 cm.

9- Optical broken modules .

Optical modules typically have an electrical interface on the side that connects to the inside of
the system and an optical interface on the side that connects to the outside world through a
fiber optic cable. The form factor and electrical interface are often specified by an interested
group using a multi-source agreement (MSA) .

10- 2-color LED modules .

RGB LED modules can emit various colors of light. They are manufactured by packaging three
LEDs of red, green, and blue into a transparent or semitransparent plastic shell and have four
pins. The three primary colors, red, green, and blue, can be mixed and compose all kinds of
colors by brightness, so you can make an RGB LED emit colorful light by controlling the circuit.

11- Active buzzer moduel .

A buzzer or beeper is a signalling device, usually electronic, typically used in automobiles,

household appliances such as a microwave oven, or game shows.

12- Humidity sensor modules .

The digital temperature and humidity sensor DHT11 is a composite sensor that contains a
calibrated digital signal output of temperature and humidity. The technology of a dedicated
digital modules collection and the temperature and humidity sensing technology are applied to
ensure that the product has high reliability and excellent long-term stability.

13- Murcury open optical moduel .

Mercury switch module and a digital interface, built-in 13 LED build a simple circuit to produce
tilt warning lamp 13 comes with digital interfaces of the LED, the mercury tilt switch sensor
interface to access digital 3, when the tilt switch sensor senses a key signal, LED lights, otherwise
off.
14- Photo resistor module .

A photoresistor is made of a high resistance semiconductor. In the dark, a photoresistor can have
a resistance as high as several megohms (MΩ), while in the light, a photoresistor can have a
resistance as low as a few hundred ohms. If incident light on a photoresistor exceeds a certain
frequency, photons absorbed by the semiconductor give bound electrons enough energy to
jump into the conduction band.

15- 5V relay model .

A relay is an electrically operated switch. Many relays use an electromagnet to mechanically

operate a switch, but other operating principles are also used, such as solid-state relays. Relays
are used where it is necessary to control a circuit by a separate low-power signal, or where
several circuits must be controlled by one signal.

16- Tilt switch model .

The tilt sensor is a component that can detect the tilting of an object. However it is only the
equivalent to a pushbutton activated through a different physical mechanism. This type of sensor
is the environmental-friendly version of a mercury-switch. It contains a metallic ball inside that
will commute the two pins of the device from on to off and viceversa if the sensor reaches a
certain angle.

17- Mini magnitic reed modules .

The reed switch is an electrical switch operated by an applied magnetic field. It consists of a pair
of contacts on ferromagnetic metal reeds in a hermetically sealed glass envelope. The contacts
may be normally open, closing when a magnetic field is present, or normally closed and opening
when a magnetic field is applied. The switch may be actuated by a coil, making a reed relay or by
bringing a magnet near the switch. Once the magnet is pulled away from the switch, the reed
switch will go back to its original position.

18- Infrared sensor receiver module

This is a new ultra-thin 38K universal infrared remote control, using the NEC encoding format,
mainly for cars Containing MP3, foot bath, lighting design equipped, digital photo frame,

19- XY-axis joystick model .

X and Y positions of the joystick can be measured as an analog voltage at the output pin. In this
joystick, the x-axis and the y-axis have their own potentiometer. Together, they build a voltage
devider

20- Linear magnitic hall sensor .

magnetic field. Hall sensors are used for proximity switching, positioning, speed detection, and
current sensing applications.

21- Reed module .

The reed switch contains a pair (or more) of magnetizable, flexible, metal reeds whose end
portions are separated by a small gap when the switch is open. The reeds are hermetically
sealed in opposite ends of a tubular glass envelope.

22- Flame sensor model

A flame sensor module that consists of a flame sensor, resistor, capacitor, potentiometer, and
comparator LM393 in an integrated circuit. It can detect infrared light with a wavelength ranging
from 700nm to 1000nm.The far-infrared flame probe converts the strength changes of the
external infrared light into current changes.

23- Magic light cup model .

The light cups use two Mercury Tilt Switches to detect when they are tilted. The module is based
on the principle of PWM dimming; the brightness of two LEDs changes as they are tilted, as if
pouring light from one LED to the other.

25- Knock sensor module.

Knock sensor module and a digital 13 interface, built-in LED build a simple circuit to produce
percussion flasher. Interface comes with digital LED, will knock sensor connected digital 3
interface, when percussion sensor senses measure to percussive signals, LED flashing light. The
knock sensor, detects the knocks and the taps. It can work like a switch. The sensor sends data
momentarily to the board. To keep the LED on, the button state change codes should be used. So
the sensor will work as a switch.

26- Obstacle avoidance sensor module.

Infrared Obstacle Sensor Module has builtin IR transmitter and IR receiver that sends out IR
energy and looks for reflected IR energy to detect presence of any obstacle in front of the sensor
module. The module has on board potentiometer that lets user adjust detection range. The
sensor has very good and stable response even in ambient light or in complete darkness. The
Obstacle Avoidance Sensors usually come in two types - with 3 and 4 pins. The 3 pin version does
not have the ability to be enabled/disabled. The 4 pin version has optional Enable pin. Here I am
describing the 4 pin version that I have. The information should also be relevant to other
versions of the sensor.

27- Hunt sensor module.

The sensor detects if a light reflecting or absorbing area is in front of it. It shows which of the 2
areas it is via digital output, as you can see in the picture below.

The Sensitivity (minimum range) of the sensor can be adjusted by the controller.

This behavior can be used to automatically follow a line with a robot.

The microphone sound sensor, as the name says, detects sound. It gives a measurement of how

33- Detect he heartbeat module.

With this sensor module, which contains a phototransistor and an infrared diode, you can
measure a pulse. For that, you have to put a finger between the diode and the transistor.
Explaination: exactly like you know it from a flashlight, the light can shine through your skin. If
you hit a vein with the light, you can see the pumping of the blood a little bit. You can see it
because the blood concentration is different on different areas in the vein, which means you can
see brightness differences in the blood flow. Exactly this differences can be measured with the
sensor module and with that you will get the pulse.

34- Rotary encoder module .

A rotary encoder is a type of position sensor which is used for determining the angular position
of a rotating shaft. It generates an electrical signal, either analog or digital, according to the
rotational movement.

35- Lm35 temperature sensor meodul.

The LM35 series are precision integrated-circuit temperature devices with an output voltage
linearly-proportional to the Centigrade temperature. ... The low-output impedance, linear
output, and precise inherent calibration of the LM35 device makes interfacing to readout or
control circuitry .

36- Rain detector sensor module for arduino .

It monitors the digital output from the module and makes the decision that it is raining if the
digital output goes low. It measures the analog output and provides a moisture level, where
1023 is high and where 0 is very wet.

37- Tmp36 temperature sensor .

The TMP36 is a low voltage, precision centigrade temperature sensor. It provides a voltage
output that is linearly proportional to the Celsius temperature. Just give the device a ground and
2.7 to 5.5 VDC and read the voltage on the Vout pin.

female pins, and with unterminated wires on the other end. It is also possible to solder three
wires to the sensor where the connector pins are mounted (see the lower picture to the right).
When looking at the back, the three connections from left to right are power, ground, and the
output signal.

the BMP085. The good news is that it is completely identical to the BMP085 in terms of

replacement.

62- Open-smart round flim force sensetive resistor 50n / 5kg fsr sensor .
FSRs are basically a resistor that changes its resistive value (in ohms Ω) depending on how much
it is pressed. The FSR is made of 2 layers separated by a spacer. The more one presses, the more
of those Active Element dots touch the semiconductor and that makes the resistance go down.
Suggest you to connect it series with a 1k ohm resistor, so that you can detect the voltage so that
you can calculate its resistance.

This precision sensor from Bosch is the best low-cost, precision sensing solution for measuring
barometric pressure with &plusmn;1 hPa absolute accuraccy, and temperature with
&plusmn;1.0&deg;C accuracy. Because pressure changes with altitude, and the pressure
measurements are so good, you can also use it as an altimeter with &plusmn;1 meter accuracy

The BME280 is the next-generation of sensors from Bosch, and is the upgrade to the
BMP085/BMP180/BMP183 - with a low altitude noise of 0.25m and the same fast conversion
time. It has the same specifications, but can use either I2C or SPI. For simple easy wiring, go with
I2C. If you want to connect a bunch of sensors without worrying about I2C address collisions, go
with SPI.

64- Mma7361 tripple axis accelerometer sensor module .

The MMA7361 is a unique accelerometer in that its outputs are analog signals. Each of the three
axes (X, Y, Z) have their own dedicated output pin. Connect these to the analog inputs of your
Arduino or other controller to measure the acceleration value.

The MMA7361 is a 3.3V device but this board includes an on-board voltage regulator which
allows you to power it from 5V as well as 3.3V.
