LESSON EVALUATION (to be completed AFTER the lesson)

!1
Assessment of Lesson Objective and Suggestions for Improvement:

Teacher self-reflection and self-evaluation:

I really enjoyed this lesson, the students were engaged and contributed well to the class discussion.
They worked well in their teams and really focused. I need to be more organised and/or clear with
instructions about moving around the room/lining up etc. so that all students have something to do.
Next lesson I will be more explicit with instructions and explain the rubric so they know what I’m looking
for.
[OFFICIAL USE ONLY] Comments by classroom teacher, HOPP, supervisor:

Religious Education 18th June 12:10pm

Good beginning, it was great to have a visual representation of the mass all ready to go. You should
describe what a ‘rite’ is, as it is a specific term.

Beautifully organised with the video, notes and diagram, student groupings and QR codes ready to go.

Make sure you tell them before tomorrow “NO CUT AND PASTE!”. Also that the marks are for the
quality of the information not finding beautiful pictures, colours and fonts.

Try and work out a better system for dividing up the parts - can you get two people working while one
comes up to you, or they just take a QR code and start working then you just call out to each group
asking for the iPad number and topic one at a time.

When the bell rings, let the students who have been doing the right thing go. Give the ones who weren’t
working something to clean up.

LESSON DELIVERY (attach worksheets, examples, marking key, etc, as relevant)

1) Gathering Rite: people gather, priest greets guests and does sign
of cross

2) Liturgy of the Word: Listen to word of God and a gospel reading,

who need support of these prayers

3) Liturgy go the Eucharist: central part of Mass

4) -The gifts of bread and wine are brought to the altar. (This is my

• The priest leads the great Eucharistic Prayer of thanksgiving.

the ‘Our Father’.

• People offer one another a sign of peace.

• People approach the altar to receive communion (the body

and blood of Christ).

dismissed to go in peace and serve the Lord.

5 mins Put class in groups of 3 to do a presentation on one of the 8 research

areas of Mass (Keynote presentation which we will watch in class
next lesson). Stick printed QR codes on the board for students to
scan.

pictures. Do minimum of 4 slides - each slide is a new topic (give
