IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS TO THE CANDIDATES:

1. Application for the Ph.D programme can be downloaded from the website.

2. A Demand Draft of Rs.750/- drawn in favour of the "The Registrar, Tamil Nadu Physical
Education and Sports University, Chennai - 600127" should be submitted along with the
filled-in application towards the cost of application for the Ph.D programme.

Note: However, the Vice-Chancellor has the discretionary power to nominate a research
committee to decide the equivalence of a degree for the admission to any Ph.D programme.

Note: Marks obtained in the P.G Degree should be converted to a maximum of 25. For
example, if a candidate has secured 1800 marks out of 2400 in P.G Degree level, his/her marks for the
qualifying examination is [1800/ 2400] x 25 = 18.75.

The candidates who secure 50% of the total marks altogether in entrance test, Interview
and PG Degree are eligible for Ph.D. admission.
The candidates qualified in NET/SLET/other National Level Eligibility Test are
exempted from entrance test and they have to appear for the interview only. Such candidates
secure less than 50% of marks in interview are not eligible for Ph.D. admission.
5. The last date for submission of filled-in application along with all the required documents in
the University is on 04-11-2016.
6. The date of entrance examination for eligible candidates is on 25-11-2016.
