Performance Statements
Learners are expected to deliver the following job performances
- Identify and document the application problem or symptoms by gathering information from the relevant parties
- Determine if the same application problem has occurred and assess the action taken
- Perform impact analysis of the risks involved in the application problem
- Analyse the relationship between each symptom in the application problem, if any
- Isolate the cause of the symptoms in systematic manner
- Document any constraints in the application
- Establish the solution to resolve the application problem together with the subject matter experts when necessary
- Evaluate the solution to ensure no additional problems are introduced
- Determine the tools needed to be utilized in the resolution process
- Present the problem resolution report to the relevant parties

Underpinning Knowledge
Learners are expected to acquire the following knowledge to deliver an appropriate level of job performance
- The organization’s application support policies and procedures
- The tools and techniques to analyse the relationship between applications/symptoms
- The tools and techniques used to troubleshoot / resolve application problems
