Describe a situation where you resolved a conflict *

When I got the opportunity to join SBI, the place of work was a remote village, Narasimhanaicken
Palayam at Coimbatore District in Tamil Nadu. I, being a North Indian, was very reluctant in joining
there. I overcame my comfort zone and took the decision to join there. It proved to be a blessing in
disguise which provided me an opportunity to experience a distinct part of our country, know about
Tamil culture and learn few phrases of Tamil language. It also helped me not to forego a great
learning opportunity to experience working in a Public Sector Bank that is Banker To Every Indian.
. Describe a time you took a leadership position and the impact created by you *

In my second year of Probation at SBI, I was posted as Passing Officer in a semi-urban branch at
Urapakkam. I was responsible for looking after the branch operations. I had 4 clerical staff, 1 cash
officer and 2 sub staff working under me. Despite being a North Indian, I was able to handle the
branch satisfactorily.

I broke the stereotype and set an example before entire region that with determination, even
language and culture is not a barrier to make an impact at grassroots.

In my around two years at SBI, I got through on-the-job work experience in General Banking. It
includes retail assets and liabilities, handling branch operations and alternate channels. In addition
to it, I was also deputed to promote Digital Banking amongst our customers. I also got the
opportunity to be part of team promoting YONO (You Only Need One) platform of customer
interface in SBI.
