RENOVA BIOENERGY PROJECT

Executive Summary

Project Objective: Leverage and revalue the biomass agricultural and agroindustry for generating electric energy,
diesel and blocks carboxylic, crude palm oil, oil palm kernel and cake of palm kernel.

Project strategy: To formalize a productive alliance with small producers to take advantage of the biomass
available from the culture and the removal of the fruit of palma, applying cutting edge technology for the
extraction of oil and revaluation of the Biomass

Location: The Magdalena Medio region of Colombia.

Specific objectives:
• Produce 408,2 barrels of diesel fuel daily.
• Electricity generation in a combined cycle. 16,91 Mw/hora
• Crude palm oil 92.800Ton
• Palm kernel oil. 12.384 Ton
• Palm kernel cake. 14.126 Ton

Justification
Technique:
• Use of state-of-the-art technology in the extraction of palm oil, production of fuels and electricity.
• Production of fruit of palm with tolerant hybrids to the illness of the putrefaction of bud and high
performance of fruit for hectare
• Establishment in free zone with tax advantages, tariff and fiscal advantages.
Economic:
• Total investment value of the project 252 million of dollars.
• TIR 20,96%
• Annual income first year 73 and for the second year 102 million of dollars.
• EBITDA in the first year of revenue of 21 and for the second year of 35 million dollars.
• Risk dispersion of income in three products that are not directly dependent
• Percentage of the ROI of 185,88 %
• Recovery of investment in three years and eleven months.
Social:
• Generation of 110 direct jobs in the free zone
• Generation of 6000 direct jobs in plantations Providers
• Total of indirect jobs generated 19,200
• Return to the productive cycle of 600 families of small palm producers

Environmental:
• Reduce emissions atmospheric annually approximately 96,000 tons of CO2
• Application of resources for conservation of surface water sources
• Management of Environmental of Aquifers
• Final Disposal controlled to a million six hundred and seventy-eight thousand eight hundred sixty tons
of biomass (1,678.860)

The project consists of three components:

1. Productive Alliance: with it establishes the crops. These are funded through the strategic alliance with
the project. The figures correspond to twelve thousand hectares of cultivation of Palm
2. Transformation unit: Palm oil extractor.
3. Biomass utilization: Combined cycle power generation, Diesel fuel production and carboxylic blocks
