Course Objectives
By the end of this course, the student should be able to:
 Understand the importance of Housekeeping in the Hotel Industry
 Organize, Select and Apply proper cleaning equipment and agents
 Realize the duties and responsibilities of Housekeeping Staffs
 Understand the Standard Operating Procedures of various Housekeeping activities.

Assessment for the course will be based on-


Class attendance & worksheet or tutorial 15%
Assignment & Presentation- Assignment will contain 10 marks 20%
and Individual presentation will carry 10 marks
Mid Term Exam 25%
Final Exam 40%

Note 1: If letter grade I (Incomplete) is awarded to any student in any course, it will
indicate that he/she has attended the course but did not appear in the semester final
examination. Letter W indicates withdrawn from the course.

Note 2: Assignment and Presentation will be done by individual/ group basis. Group will
consist of two to five students. Students are also anticipating in a professional attitude
during their presentation.
