8-11, 2010
Dear Families,
Please note: Thanksgiving Dinner had to be changed to the 16th due to a mix up
with the cafeteria. New paper is going home today about the dinner. If you already
turned yours in and the new date doesn’t work for you just let us know. Sorry we had to
change the date. Thank you in advance for being flexible.
The weather is definitely getting colder. Please make sure you send a coat,
hat/gloves with you child because we will go outside as long as it is above 35 degrees.
Both classes enjoyed making pancakes last week, and we look forward to more
fun food activities working on counting, sorting, patterns, and matching.
FAMILY PROJECT:
We sent home a turkey to decorate as a family project last week. Decorate any
way you would like (ex. glitter, sequins, buttons, feathers, markers, paint….). Be creative
and most importantly have fun with your child. Please return them to school when
completed, so we can display in the hallway and at the Thanksgiving Dinner.

AT HOME:
1. Encourage your child to dress himself, including zippers, snaps, and buttons.
Provide assistance when needed.
2. Play hide-and –seek with one of your child’s stuffed animals and give clues
using terms such as on, under, beside, between, behind…
3. Read to your child!

Don’t forget to check out the classroom blog: http://preschool-families.blogspot.com (in the
next few weeks, I will be adding a slideshow to the blog. I’ll let you know when it’s finished)
