Composition and functionality
The AMEX®-10 MONO consist of a flexible rubber seal and stainless steel tension bands. The internal
steel tension bends guarantees the seal tightness.

∆ Gravity pipe and pressure pipe, for internal pressure up to 25 bar, external pressure 5 bar

AMEX® - 10 VARIO Seal


Internal sealing systems for pipelines

Composition and functionality
The Amex®-10 VARIO Seal is based on the principle of the AMEX®-10 MONO seal. The AMEX®-10 VARIO
seal provides the possibility of sealing endless long sections of damaged pipes. The seals can be joined
together infinitely. Each joint of the seals interlock with the next one, assuing a complete seal of the
section to be repaired. The end of the section repaired with the AMEX®-10 VARIO seal is completed with
the AMEX®-10 MONO seal in width of 260 mm up to 500 mm.

Application range
∆ Application in accessible pipelines from DN 600 up to DN 4000 for the sealing of the desired length of
the pipe section, repairing joints, local defects or for the prevention of pipe corrosion.

AMEX® - 10 Liner End


Internal seal for Liner ends in rehabilitated gravity and pressure pipes
Assurance of the absolute tightness between installed Liner and host pipe
Composition and functionality

The Amex®-10 LE consist of a flexible rubber seal and


stainless steel tension bands (same principle as Amex®-
10 Mono). The Liner End Seal compensates the difference
between Liner and host pipe. Depending on the thickness
the seal will be manufactured tailormade to accomodate
both diameter. The internal steel tension bands
guarantees the seal tightness between the Liner and the
host pipe.

Application range
∆ Installation in the diameter range from DN 150 up to DN 4000
∆ Applies for all pipe material
∆ Gravity pipe and pressure pipe, for internal pressure up to 25 bar, external pressure up to 5 bar
∆ Pipe profiles: Circular, Egg, mouth or similar

∆ The seal width depends on the Liner thickness.

AMEX® - 10 Reduction Seal


Internal seal for Liner ends in rehabilitated gravity and pressure pipes

Composition and functionality

The Amex®-10 Reduction consist of a flexible rubber seal


and stainless steel tension bands (same principle as
Amex®-10 Mono). The Reduction Seal is an extension to
Amex®-10 LEM, compensates the difference between Liner
and host pipe or compensates two different pipe
diameters. The internal steel tension bands guarantees the
seal tightness between the Liner and the host pipe.

∆ Installation in the diameter range from DN 500 up to DN 4000
∆ Applies for all pipe material
∆ Gravity pipe and pressure pipe, for internal pressure up to 25 bar, external pressure up to 5 bar

Special internal sealing systems for pipelines

Composition and functionality
The Amex®-10 Omega consist of a flexible rubber seal and stainless steel tension bands. The
internal steel tension bends guarantees the seal tightness. The Omega Seal is a special adaptation
with a modified profile for high resistance pipe deflection and other movements and external
hydrostatic pressure.

EPDM - Resistance Guide
Composition and functionality

EPDM is generally characterized by its superior resistance to heat, aging and chemical resistance, good
cold behavior as well as good electrical insulating properties. These qualities enable a long service life
with a static load. EPDM is often used in the automotive industry, for washing machines and also
dishwashers because EPDM achieves good results towards suds and cleaning solutions at higher
temperatures. The resistance to hot water and steam is very good; therefore it is also well suited for
seals and hoses within the heating engineering as well as fittings and household appliance industry. The
temperature range for a continuous operation is roughly between -30°C to +130°C and for a short-term
operation, the temperature range is approximately between -50°C and +150°C. Subsequently some

NBR - Chemical Resistance
Composition and functionality
NBR is generally characterized by an excellent resistance to petrol, grease and mineral oils and is
applicable for example in the automobile and motor industry as a material for bellows, fuel hoses and
seals. The temperature range for a continuous operation is roughly between -30°C to +100°C and for a
short-term operation, the temperature range is approximately between -50°C and +120°C. The ozone,
weather and aging resistance is considered to be low. Subsequently some application examples of
