KOREAN FOOD

• In Korea have a lot of different food:


• Kimchi-the best food in korea, if you have went to korea you have to taste this.
• Korean Barbecue is a food of few plates of meat and have some important pieces of lettuce, garlic,
peppers and chili pastes to fashions little meat wraps.
• Korean ox bone soup is a soup with the dish is served plain, a few light of noodles, slices of beef and
green onions.
• Hotpot mixed rice is a famous and widely avalible, bibimbap is like fried rice, but instead of being fried it’s
just all mixed up like salad.
• Korean cuisine is the customary cooking traditions and practices of the culinary arts of korea. Korean
cuisine has evolved through centuries of social and political change. Originating from ancient agricultural
and nomadic traditions in korea and southern manchuria, korean cuisine has evolved through a complex
interaction of the natural environment and different cultural trends.
KOREAN DANCE
• Korean tranditional dance originated in ancient shamanistic rituals thousands of years ago. By the time of the later
korean kingdoms, goryeo and joseon, in the 2nd millennium AD, korean traditional dance benefited from regular
support of the royal court, numerous academies, and even an official ministry of the government.
• Korean traditional dance has a rich history of culture and storytelling that continues today in many parts of the country.
From ancient folk dancing to modern dance styles, the korean people have long celebrated dance as part of their
cultural heritage.
• The earliest use of dance in korea began about five thousand years ago with shamanistic rituals. Shamanism
incorporates the beliefs and practices of the indigenous people in korea, and both religious views and dance styles were
unique to each village in these early years. Usually, each region would have its own local gods, and the shamans worked
as part of funeral services to guide spirits into heaven. The dances, such as the tang'ol from the south, were
choreographed with the goal of entertaining a god or goddess.
KOREAN CLOTHES
• Hanbok is a trandition Korean dress for semi formal or formal attiredurig tranditional occasions such as festivals,
celebrations and ceremonies.
• It is characterized by vibrant colors and simple lines without pockets. Although the term literally means "korean
clothing", hanbok usually refers specifically to clothing of the joseon period. Korea had a dual clothing tradition in
which rulers and aristocrats adopted different kinds of mixed foreign-influenced indigenous styles while commoners
preserved a distinct style of indigenous clothing, today known as hanbok.

• In recent years, fashion in korea has evolved due to inspirations from western culture, wealth, and social media
practices, as well as the country's developing economy.
KOREAN MUSIC

• The music of korea refers to music from the Korean peninsula ranging from prehistoric times to the
division of korea into south and north in 1945. It includes court music, folk music, poetic songs, and
religious music used in shamanistic and buddhist traditions.
• Korean folk music includes: dongbu folk songs that are mostly simple and bright songs, but their style
varies according to the region they originate from; pansori, also called korean opera, is performed
by one singer and one drummer and the lyrics tell different stories; nongak, which is a rural form of
korean percussion music performed by twenty or thirty drummers together; sanjo is instrumental only
music that combines rhythms with melodic modes.
KOREAN TRANDITIONAL PLACE
• Gyeongbokgung palace is the main and largest of the five palaces in seoul. Built in 1395 under king
taejo’s orders during the joseon dynasty, the palace is located in the center of seoul and keeps his
majesty. As a background, you can see the inner-city mountains giving a harmonious view between
nature and the palace.
• Not far from gyeongbokgung palace stands the second most popular palace in seoul:
changdeokgung palace. It has been built in 1405 as a secondary residence for kings and queens and
has its charm.
• Naganeupseong folk village is located in jeollanam-do province and offers unique travel back in time.
The village is surrounded by 1,410m fortress wall built to protect the villagers of invaders. It may be
surprising but abut 100 families still live in the village and you can see that the village is very well
preserved.
