Shift Actuator Installation


IMPORTANT: The shift actuator MUST be cen-
tered in the NEUTRAL position. Make SURE:
• a STANDARD rotation gearcase is in FOR-
WARD
• a COUNTER–ROTATION gearcase is in
REVERSE
1. Verify the correct gear position. Rotate the pro-
peller shaft while LIFTING the lower shift rod to
put the gearcase in the correct gear position.
