Viel vs. viele


These roughly correspond to English Ich trinke viel Wasser.
"much/many". Use viel with uncountable Ich habe viele Hunde.

Alles oder nichts


Just like nicht (not) has a look-alike Ich esse nicht. (I do not eat.)
nichts (nothing), alle (all) has alles Ich esse nichts. (I eat nothing.)
(everything) as a counterpart. Ich esse alles. (I eat everything.)

Ein paar vs. ein Paar


Ein paar (lowercase p) means "a few", typically come in pairs of two, e.g. ein
"some" or "a couple (of)" (only in the Paar Schuhe (a pair of shoes).
