INTRODUCTION
Leader: Dear Augustinian Brothers and Sisters, We are gathered today to make a
mark for the beginning of the School Year 2019- 2020. The flinch of something new to
create and something wonderful to start. It is very fitting that we start with the
celebration of the Word of God – the ENTHRONEMENT OF THE BIBLE. Through this
liturgical ceremony we are called to effectively listen to the Word of God and
PREACH the Good News!

- There is tremendous power available to us in God’s Word. READING THE BIBLE

contains God’s will for our lives, READING THE BIBLE is our nourishment, READING THE
BIBLE gives us discernment, READING THE BIBLE Instructs us in righteousness, READING
THE BIBLE contains power to overcome, READING THE BIBLE is full of God’s promises
and READING THE BIBLE has the POWER TO UNITE. (play music_POWER TO UNITE)

- TOGETHER IN UNITY, Let us know our SAA Personnel who will be with us and will be
serving you for the entire School Year of 2019- 2020. To fully introduce them of, Please
help me welcome the ever Dynamic Academic Coordinator in the person of MR.

INTERCESSIONS/ PRAYERS OF THE FAITHFUL
Leader: Let us now implore God, our loving father to bestow on us his grace to answer his
word in a fitting manner and say: LORD, HEAR OUR PRAYER!

1. That Pope Francis, our Bishops, Priests and Deacons may be guided by God’s Spirit in
communicating his saving message to all. Let us pray to the Lord.

2. That our religious and lay leaders: catechists, teachers, may constantly deepen their
knowledge of the Word of God so as to communicate the Good News more
effectively. Let us pray to the Lord.

3. That through the celebration of your Holy Word we may deepen our appreciation
for the scriptures and make it more relevant in our lives. Let us pray to the Lord.

4. That we may find in his word our consolation, strength and guidance. Let us pray to
the Lord.

5. That we may be generous in doing our best to spread the Good News. Let us pray to
the Lord.

6. That our school year 2019-2020 be fruitful day by day through the inspiration of the
Word of God. Let us pray to the Lord.

Let us conclude this prayer with THE LORD’S PRAYER…(to be sung)

CLOSING PRAYER
Leader: Lord Jesus Christ, word of God from all eternity, we praise and worship you
for giving us this opportunity to listen to the message of life and be touched by it. We
praise and thank you for choosing us to proclaim and share the riches of the Good
News with our brothers and sisters, So that we may become a true community based
on your word of life, you who live and reign with the Father and the Holy Spirit for ever
and ever. Amen
