Objectives: At the end of the lesson, the students are expected to do the following with at least 75%
proficiency:

a. Determine the appropriate suffix to a word


b. Transform verbs into nouns using suffixes

WORD MORPH

Students are shown pictures. They should be able to think of verbs out of the picture.

Analysis

The teacher will introduce new set of verbs.

The students will again read a new set of words.

Participatory Questions:

 What have you observed with the words you just read?
 What were added to the words that changed its meaning?
 How do we transform these verbs into nouns? (Adding suffixes)

Abstraction
 A suffix is a letter or group of letters that is added to the end of a word to change its meaning or
to form a different word
 An affix occurring at the end of a word, base, or phrase
