1.2 Brand new installation

The new installation means that neither the previous version of GView
server program nor MySQL database has been installed on the server. It
requires a new installation of GView server program and MySQL database.

2.1 Start service process

 Start mode 1:

2.2 Stop service process

According to different startup modes, the stopping mode of service


programs is also different.
 Stop mode 1:

2.3 Introduction of key technologies

This key technology is mainly applied to many devices( Tens of thousands


of office devices) Large amount of alarm(More than one hundred thousand
alarm per day)

Fast polling technology for device status:


Using the underlying network technology, Get the device status directly
and quickly; For tens of thousands of office devices, device status can be
controlled within 1 minutes.
Alarm transmission optimization technology:
By way of the alarm data distribution deployment, Alarms analysis and
collection and isolation, To achieve computing power distribution, Avoid
system performance problems with large alarm numbers

3.System Funcions

Special attention:
Installation of Google Chrome browser is recommended. Please
adjust the system resolution to 1366*768; IE8~IE10 at present is
recommended

3.1 login

In the chrome input: http://10.81.55.233:9090;and the 10.81.55.233 is


GView server’s IP address,9090 is the port number for program access
Please ensure that the 9090 port of the network management server is not
isolated by the firewall; the ejected login interface is as follows:

 If you are logged in for the newly installed system, please use the system
default login username and password [admin admin];
 If you login for the upgraded installation, please log in according to the
username and password in the original system.The correct interface after
login is as follows:

3.2 Preparation before use

To ensure the normal and safe use of the system, please configure the
users and roles of the system, and add the SNMP group name used in the
network to the system.
The system fully supports decentralized and domain-based management.
Through decentralized and domain-based management, the system can
control the role with different regional data rights and different functional rights.
In order to control the security of roles and users, it is suggested to
manage roles first, create management operation roles suitable for your
company, and then create corresponding users to corresponding roles, so as
to achieve the purpose of controlling users'login rights.
Special attention:
1.Only users with user management and role management functions can
manage users and roles all over the world. Therefore, it is suggested that
user management and role management functions should be controlled in
administrators as far as possible.
2. All modified role permissions must take effect after the user restarts.
3.All users who modify the data area will not take effect until the user

restarts.

3.2.1. Role management

Users with role management privileges can select Role Management under
System Management in the main menu and go to the Role Management page
to add, delete, modify and assign roles to users:

 Add roles
You can add a role by clicking "Add" in the role management interface.
Once you enter the new role management interface, you can manage the
name and function permissions of the role. As follows:

Functional permissions for some of the key functions of the read and write
permission control, such as: to provide button level control on the timing task,
to provide view upgrade file, add, modify, delete permission control.
 Modify roles
You can check the roles that need to be modified in the role
management interface (Single election), and then click "Modify" to
modify the role's functional permissions.
 Assign users
The system provides a quick entry for role assignment users. You can
check (Single election) the roles that need to be assigned to users in
the role management interface, and then click "Assign User" to assign

the selected roles to users. The following figure shows:

3.2.2 User management

Users with “user management” privileges can select "System" under "user
management" in the main menu and enter the user management page. Users
can add, delete, modify and assign roles:

 Add users
You can add a user by clicking "Add" in the user management interface.
After entering the user's new interface, you can manage the user's name,
user's basic information, user-managed areas and roles. As follows:

Special attention:
When you specify multiple roles for a user, when the user re-logs in, the
user has multiple roles of the function permissions overlap, you can see the
function overlap results by looking at the functions that the user has.
 Modify user
You can check (Single election) the user who needs to be modified in the
user management interface, and then click "Modify" to modify the user's
information and data management permissions and roles.

 Assign role
The system provides a quick entry for users to specify roles. You can
check (Single election) the users who need to specify roles in the user
management interface, and then click "Assign Role" to specify roles for the
selected users. The following figure shows:

Special attention:
After completing the above user management and role management, the
user can re-login to the system according to the specified role and data area
permissions displayed to prevent the user from not having the functional
permissions and data area permissions to operate.

3.2.3 Personal Center

For logged-in users, you can also use the "personal center" to modify the
basic information or password of individuals, but also in the personal center to
see their own data rights and functional rights. As follows:

3.2.4 SNMP parameter management

If the existing network equipment needs to be connected and managed


properly, the SNMP community name used in the existing network needs to be
entered into the system to facilitate the NMS system to automatically search
and obtain equipment information.
In the main menu under "System " select "SNMP setting" to enter the SNMP
parameter management page, you can add all the SNMP community names
used by existing network devices to the system; the following figure:

3.3 Device management

3.3.1 Add, delete, modify area

Select the area node of the left tree; the right-click menu of the area node.

 Add Group: add sub area under the node;


 Delete Group: Delete this group (area) is limited to empty grouping, if

there are devices or sub-grouping below the grouping, it will prompt


deletion failure;
 modify Group: modify group only to modify the group name and
note information;

3.3.2 Add Device

The add device area provides the following four ways to add devices with
management IP, such as: OLT, NC, optical amplifier, optical receiver;
 Scan&Add Device

On the right-click menu of a group (area node) in the left tree, select
"Scan& Add Device" and enter the Scan Add Device page. You can scan and
add a device of a C-segment once through this function page. The following

Setting the gropup type to IP group in the function page of adding a group
(area) and entering an IP segment that needs to be automatically scanned,
the system will automatically scan the device of this IP segment and add the
identified device to the network management system, as shown below:

 Template import
The system provides a way to import the device list into the system
through template import, with two entries.
1. In the device management of the main menu “Import Device”function is

provided; [Note: Devices whose grouping information is not filled in in the


template will be imported under the Management Area node;]
2. The right-click menu of any area of the left tree provides the function of
"Import Devices"; [Note: Devices with unfilled group information in the
template will be imported under the selected grouping (area) node;]
Note:
Not any EXCEL file can be imported, you need to use the template file
downloaded in this function and strictly follow the template file requirements to
fill in the document can be imported correctly;

 Single device input add


The system provides a single device (currently mainly on the nc)
directly input related information to add the function, as follows:

3.3.3 View device conflict

The system provides the function of IP address or MAC address conflict


when the device is added.
Choose the main menudevice  Device discovery. log , In the second
TAB page of the pop-up window, the Device Conflict Table, records the view of
all IP or MAC address conflicts that occur during the process of adding
devices; the following figure:

3.3.4 Device area adjustment

Device area adjustment is to adjust device from one area to another area.
the system provides two kinds of adjustment methods.
 Left tree dragging (difficult operation and inconvenient batch operation)
Select the device that needs to be moved, press the left mouse button all
the time, then drag it to the destination area and release the mouse;
sometimes the destination area is not in the window, you need to scroll up
and down the mouse wheel to locate the destination area at the same time;
 Batch movement
Firstly, select the area of the device that needs to be moved on the left
tree, right-click on the pop-up menu and select “Batch Move”, check the
device or grouping(area) that needs to be moved on the left tree in the new
pop-up window, select the destination area in the right tree control, and click
“OK” to perform the Batch Move.

3.3.5 Device Statistics

The system provides the statistical function of area device type, device
version and the number of devices (online/offline). You can make statistics by
"device statistics" in the right-click menu of the selected area of the left tree.

3.3.6 Recovery&backup configuration

The system provides the configuration backup and recovery function of a


single device, which is convenient for operation and maintenance staff to
backup the configuration of the equipment in time, and can also restore the
configuration of the previous backup.
The supporting device types include: EOC, OLT devices.

At the first,in “System”page config the FTP server address ,as follows:

You can view configuration information for all backup devices.


The device configuration can be restarted immediately.
You can specify that a previously backup configuration file is applied to
the device and restart is effective.

Special attention:
Users are concerned about whether the replacement equipment can be
transferred out of the original backup problem, after testing and verification
is satisfied, the specific operational requirements and precautions are as
follows:
1. The equipment is replaced at the scene, and IP is set to be replaced by
the IP of the device.
2. The network management system can see that the device is online.
3. Synchronize the device in right click state (the system updates the new
device MAC).
4. You can see all backup of the replaced device in the right-click
configuration backup recovery function.
5. If the MAC address of the replaced device already exists (maybe the
repaired device will be used in the network again, and the MAC of the
changed device in the database has not been updated or deleted), there
will be a conflict between MAC and IP. When the system deals with the
conflict, the replaced device will be deleted, so the backup file can not be
used.

3.3.7 Global search

The system provides global search function, which can be divided into
three main categories: grouping, device and user information.
The grouping is the area name, which supports fuzzy query, and the area
includes all the grouping names at all levels within the system.
Device search supports IP address, MAC address, device name (ONU
device is description information) and fuzzy query; device scope includes all
devices that can be managed;
User information refers to the terminal-user associated with the device

(CPE 、ONU) that supports the username, address, and telephone number;

The list of search results can be topologically positioned by clicking on the


positioning icon in the list operation column.

Special attention:
1. If the list of search results is less, please set the search condition
more accurately.
2. The system defaults to displaying exactly matched content on the first
line of the search results list, such as IP address 192.168.10.1, the
exact matching result of the first behavior, and the fuzzy matching
result.

3.3.8 Batch configuration

Batch configuration is to configure device parameters of the same model


and version in batches to reduce configuration workload and provide work
efficiency.
Batch configuration function entry:
The configuration of batch configuration includes: VLAN pool
configuration, multi-template configuration, TRAP server configuration, TRAP
alarm parameters, performance threshold parameters, loopback detection
parameters, IP access control, terminal device upgrade, SNMP attribute

configuration, NTP server configuration, cluster enabled;as follows

3.4 EPON device configuration

Currently, Guangda GView unified network management system mainly


includes Guangda OLT and ONU equipment in the management of EPON
equipment, and does not support the management of friendly EPON
equipment.

3.4.1 OLT device configuration

OLT devices provide WYSIWYG configurations in different device panels


according to different device types. For 85 series pluggable cards, OLT
devices are displayed on the left tree and topology to the board and ports; for
box OLT devices, ports are displayed directly; as follows:

With the left tree and topology rendering of the device, you can configure
and manage the device in common use and view the information on the device,
board and port.

一、 EP3310 device configuration

EP3310 devices are configured in advanced configuration, that is,

when EP3310 devices are selected by the left tree, topology, performance
monitoring, ONU list, and configuration management will appear in the TAB
page on the right boundary.
 Topology
The facility panel diagram of EP3310 is presented. You can view and
operate the ports on the panel diagram. The following figure shows:

 Performance monitoring:
It can start the performance monitoring collection of the device, if the
device has started the performance monitoring collection, you can view
the current and historical performance curve on this page; it can start the
performance monitoring of a board card, and it can also set the
performance monitoring parameters for each PON port; the following
figure:

 ONU list
Display all the ONU device list information under the EP3310 device;

 Configuration Management
Displays all configuration items that the NMS can configure for
EP3310 devices, i.e. advanced configuration, including: management
parameters, upper link port configuration, PON port configuration, ONU
configuration, SNMP configuration, FDB configuration, VLAN
configuration, as follows:

In the left tree PON port, the device panel diagram PON port and it
hanging ONU schematic diagram can be in the PON port right-click menu
under the PON port ONU management [menu items: ONU list] and Using
ONU;
The right menu of upper link includes the basic configuration and port
VLAN configuration of the upper port.

registered or unregistered ONU devices, and provide convenient USING
and NOUSING operations, In ONU management, you can see the range,

二:EP8503-12 device configuration

The configuration of EP8503-12 device is similar to that of EP3310


device, that is, when the EP8503-12 device is selected by the left tree,
topology, performance monitoring, ONU list, and configuration
management will appear in the TAB page on the right boundary.
 Topology
The facility panel schematic diagram of EP8503-12 is presented. You
can view and operate the ports on the panel schematic diagram. The
following figure shows:

 Performance Monittor
It can start the collection of performance monitoring for the equipment.
If the equipment has started the collection of performance monitoring, you
can view the current and historical performance curve on this page.

 ONU list:
Display all the ONU device list information under the EP8503-12 device.

 Configuration
Display all configuration items that the network management system
can configure for EP8503-12 devices, i.e. advanced configuration,
including: management parameters, uplink port configuration, PON port
configuration, ONU configuration, SNMP configuration, FDB configuration,
VLAN configuration, as follows:

3.4.2 ONU device configuration management

ONU device configuration currently supports ONU device pre addition


and binding, VLAN configuration;
 Pre adding and binding of ONU devices
The "ONU List" in the right-click menu item of the PON port configuration
enters the page, that is, pre-add and bind operations for the ONU device; the
following figure:

After the PON port is selected in the left tree, the ONU device which
needs to configure VLAN is selected in the topology interface, and the ONU
can be configured by selecting "VLAN configuration" in the right-click menu
item.

3.4.3 FTTX business Wizard

The FTTX business Wizard is an important the network management side


function of FTTX fast business opening scheme.
It mainly uses the network management to bind and map the business

types and specific business uses of OLT devices.


FTTX business opening wizard requires the following prerequisites:
1. The TRAP alarm channel of OLT equipment is normal: As the first
condition of the whole fast service opening, the whole process is started
by TRAP alarm after ONU is on-line, so the TRAP alarm channel of OLT
must be configured correctly. If you do not properly configure the TRAP
server, the system will automatically identify and request you to
configure the TRAP server in the wizard.
2. OLT device TELNET configuration channel is normal: in the current
network version, because there are many devices that do not support
device template MIB, it is necessary to obtain data through TELNET;
Function entry: OLT device right click menu, FTTX business wizard;
Step 1: Configure the VLAN usage according to the wizard, check the PON
port configuration information and the uplink port configuration
information, confirm these informations are correct and then go to the
next step. As shown in the following figure:

Step 2: Service open config, which requires you to map and bind globally
defined business types to the ONU configuration template on this OLT.
As shown in the following figure:

Special attention:
To ensure that the entire wizard really takes effect, you must check the
FTTX service enabled, or even if the wizard is configured, the system will
not automatically fetch the configuration of the relevant business types,

3.5 EOC device configuration

3.5.1 NC configuration

一. Common configuration
NC common configurations include network parameter configuration,
head-end configuration, VLAN pool configuration, template configuration,
black-and-white list configuration, selecting NC in left tree or topology, and
right-clicking menu with corresponding menu items.

 Local config: configurable head end parameters such as level. As

 VLAN pool configuration: configure the NC VLAN pool to add,


modify and delete the VLAN pool. As follows:

 Template Config: Configuring the service parameter template of the


terminal device, all the service and operation parameters of the terminal

device are obtained from the template. Multiple templates can be


configured and the terminal template can be bound. As follows:

 Black and White List Config: Control terminal registration


permissions on the NC, prevent devices are online by adding by terminal
devices on the blacklist, and allow devices are online by adding terminal

二、Advanced config
Select the NC device in the left tree or topology, and select the
Advanced in the Advanced Configuration: TRAP Alarm Parameters,
TRAP Server Configuration, Routing Table Configuration, NTP Server
Configuration, IP Access Control, Loop Detection Configuration,
Outer-band Port Configuration, TELNET Timeout, QoS, cluster enable;
as follows:

3.5.2 CPE configuration

The CPE is configured mainly by the template of the NC, so this


configuration refers to the template configuration of the NC

3.6 Upgrade device

3.6.1 Batch device upgrade

Special attention:
1. The current upgrade scheme only supports the same version device
of the same model to be upgraded, but not for different models and
versions to be upgraded to the same version.
2. The current version supports the new upgrade scheme (i.e. fast and
stable upgrade with the device side). Because of the need for
device-side functional support, the new upgrade scheme can only be
valid for the new device version, i.e. EOC device version 60284 and
later versions can use the new upgrade scheme. The previous
version of EOC device upgrade is still using original upgrade plan.
GD GView NMS to provide a simpler device upgrade function, you can
select the "Device Upgrade" menu item from the main menu "Device

1. Through the left tree or device query to find the need to upgrade device,

query, batch confirmation, clearing the alarm to the historical alarm, etc.

page, and then click "Current Alarm" in the left window. You can also click
"Alarm Management->Current Event" to enter the main menu, as follows:

3.9 Maintenance management

The system provides maintenance management features, mainly for


users to provide maintenance management related functional characteristics.
Maintenance management features include: task management
(configuration backup recovery);

3.9.1 Backup &Restore

The system provides the task management function of configuration


backup and recovery, through which the user can make the configuration
backup and recovery plan of the equipment. After the plan is made, the
system will automatically configure the equipment backup and recovery
according to the plan.

The configuration backup&Restore task plan can be created, modified,
enabled, disabled, and deleted.

template), and the template defines the port configuration and loop detection
information of ONU devices.
