ABSTRACT
Nutritional problems are a major health problem that afflicts nearly a third
of school children in Indonesia. Balanced nutrition counseling given to children in
primary schools with the aim to increase knowledge about balanced nutrition.
Counseling on nutrition balanced with a leaflet through the medium of the lecture
method is expected to increase the knowledge of child nutrition.
This study aims to find out the changes after the knowledge of balanced
nutrition counseling with methods of lectures given through the medium of
leaflets on elementary school children in SD Negeri 1 Klego.
This study included in the design of experimental research one group
pretest-posttest. This study conducted on 41 respondents consisting of class IV
and V statistical test used is t-test dependent.
Survey results revealed that changes in knowledge after receiving
counseling increased by an average was good. 63.4% indicated that the
respondents have good knowledge based on t-test dependent is known a change
in knowledge about nutritional balance after the lecture method was properly
instructed through the medium of leaflets, with significant values (p-value) of
0,000.
