1. Login Procedure

Go to the following URL for accessing the application.


Application URL : http://180.211.185.247/ruresult/
You will find the following page, where you need to select a Department for activating that
department’s Database.

Select a Department from the drop-down list and click “Connect” button. Now you will be
redirected to the login page.

Use your Salary ID as both Username and Password. Then click “Login” button for Signing in to
the application.
Important : Please Change your Password after your first login.

2. Result Processing Work flow
A full result processing consists of the following tasks:
1. Creating a Committee
2. Creating an Exam
3. Configuring Courses
4. Assigning students to the Exam
5. Assigning Examiners to several courses
6. Inserting Marks
7. Processing Marks
8. Publishing Result

2.1 Committee

If you click the “Committee” button in the left menu bar you will enter the committee module
where you can see all the exam committees and their members.

To add a new committee click the “Add Committee” button on the top right corner.

Insert a committee name, select members and assign their roles in the committee. Then click “Save”
button to save that committee. Later you will assign this committee while creating exam (Chapter
2.2). You can assign one committee to multiple exams.

2.2 Exam

This is the exam module. To add an exam click “Add Exam” button.

Select Session, Program and Committee from the drop down list insert exam year and then click
“Save” button. For engineering faculty the “Has Group” field should be checked to “No”.

Once the exam is created you can check the work flow of the exam by clicking the following
button.

This part shows you the overall result processing status of a particular exam.
You have to complete step 2 & 3 manually by clicking “Mark as Complete” button after completing
course configuration (Chapter 2.3) and student assignment (Chapter 2.4) tasks.
Other steps will be automatically completed when the relative tasks are done.

2.3 Courses

First go to the exam module then click the following button to configure courses for a specific
exam.

For a newly created exam, there will be no courses configured.

Click the “Add Course” button.

Insert the required fields in the upper section and then for the mark distribution select a distribution
rule from the “Mark Distribution” drop down list. Mark distribution rules can be configured from
the left menu Settings > AssessmentRules.
Once you have configured all the courses, you have to complete this task manually in the exam
module’s work flow section. Go to exam module,
click the work flow button,

Now click the “Mark as Complete” button to finish the tasks.

Please be sure that all your courses are correctly configured before performing above action.
Because once you complete this step and started the next one, you will not be able to re-configure
the courses.

2.4 Student Assignment
First go to the exam module then click the following button to assign students for a specific exam.

For a newly created exam there will be no records.

Click the “Assign/Unassign” button.


You will see the students list and courses list like below,

This is a test case for documentation, that’s why there is only on course is showing. In real case
there will be multiple courses that you have previously.
Select students and courses, then click save.
If no students appears here please see the Student Management Section. In Settings > Students.
Once you have completed assigning students, go to exam module’s work flow section and manually
complete the “Student Assessment” step, just like you did in the “Course Configure” step.

2.5 Examiner Assignment
First go to the exam module then click the following button to assign examiners for a specific exam.

According to the courses and students assigned application will make a list of courses where
examiner assignment is required. Just pick an examiner from the right drop down list to assign.

Once all the courses have been assigned with examiners, the “Assign Examiner” part in work flow
section of exam module will automatically be marked as completed.
Only the assigned examiners will have the privilege to insert marks primarily. We will know details
about these in next section.

2.6 Marks

When an examiner logs into the system he/she will see the course assigned to him/her. You have to
click “Insert/Edit” button to start.

You can Insert/Edit marks for a certain course until you submit that marks. Once you have
submitted the marks you will no longer be able to edit that marks as an examiner.
Marks of a submitted course can only be edited by the Chairman of the Exam Committee. Once the
result is published no one will be able to edit marks.

In special cases marks of a published result can be edited by the physical presence of the Controller
of Exam and Chairman of the Exam Committee. They both will have to insert their passwords to
perform this action.
System will log every changes on a submitted mark.

2.7 Marks Process
First go to the exam module then click the following button to process marks for a specific exam.

Once marks for all courses are submitted you can process those by clicking the “Process” button.
After that go to the exam module and press “Publish” button.

Now you can see the result from result module.
