Distribution Channel

I – What did you learned to the topic discussed?

Answer: A distribution channel is the path by which all goods and services must travel to
arrive at the intended consumer. Conversely, it also describes the pathway payments
make from the end consumer to the original vendor. Distribution channels can be short
or long and depend on the amount of intermediaries required to deliver a product or
service.

However, goods and services sometimes pass to consumers through multiple channels
— a combination of short and long. While increasing the number of ways a consumer
can find a good can increase sales, it can also create a complex system that
sometimes makes distribution management difficult. In addition, the longer the
distribution channel, the less profit a manufacturer might get from a sale because each
intermediary charges for its service.

II – What is the impact or lesson learned towards your career of personal

development?

Answer: The impact or lesson learned towards my career and personal development is
in this topic I’ve understood how product will transport from producer to consumer.
Now it made me clear how those channels help the business. The channels of
distribution for a product the route taken by the title to goods they are from the
producers to the ultimate consumers. It is very important because product in one place
while the consumption scattered in many place. So there is big gap between
producers and the consumers. So through channels of distribution can only fill the gap.
A channel of distribution connects a link between the producers and the consumers.
III – Conclusion & recommendation to the topic discussed. I therefore conclude that
distribution channel is inseparable from other marketing mix such as promotion, price
and product. Therefore, decisions regarding physical distribution of goods to the
potential consumers are important strategic decision. In addition, distribution channels
help in control of the product and service flow from point of production to the ultimate
consumers. Therefore, if distribution channels are absent are absent, the whole process
of the marketing is sabotages as promotion, price and product market mixes alone are
not sufficient, without effective distribution channels. Based on this rationale, thus,
distribution should be viewed as one of the P’s of marketing.

Production Management

I – What did you learned to the topic discussed? The topic includes materials sourcing
and specification, product innovations, quality assurance and production
management systems the combination of skills required to take a product from design
to reality. To develop both the analytical and practical skills required to manage the
development and coordination of a product range in today’s globalized and highly
competitive marketplace. I will understand the questions and processes that must be
considered, to facilitate the production of product considering environmental, societal
and economic factors.

II – What is the impact or lesson learned towards your career of personal development?

The need to have the right skills, often obtained through an operations management
course, as well as knowledge of multiple departments, in various functions, ensuring that
each part seamlessly works together to produce a well-oiled machine in the form of
operations management. The role of the Operations Manager would include
everything

III – Conclusion & recommendation to the topic discussed. I therefore conclude that
operations manager must needs to take into account many factors when producing a
product. They must make a decision to balance the cost and quality of their product or
service when deciding whether to outsource, be innovative with technology or have
inventory. Also to choose to use globalization as a strategy for the business. The
manager needs to abide by all legal policies and choose to have or to not have a
business that is corporate socially responsible. The management of these key factors will
contribute to the success or failure of the business so the manager’s choices impact
enormous amounts on how their business functions

Business Strategy

I – What did you learned to the topic discussed?

Answer: I’ve learned that in business, the strategy begins with a focus on the highest
level objective in private industry: Increasing owner value. For most companies that is
the firm's reason for being. In practical terms, however, firms achieve this objective only
by earning profits. For most firms, therefore, the highest goal can be stated by referring
to "profits." The generic business strategy, therefore, aims first to earn, sustain, and grow
profits..

II – What is the impact or lesson learned towards your career of personal development?

Answer: The lesson learned towards my career development is that business strategies
succeed when they lead to business growth, strong competitive position, and strong
financial performance. Many different approaches are possible, but all are meant to
bring improvements in these areas. Strategy builders can find practical guidance in this
definition. Notice that the definition names four kinds of actions. With just a little
imagination you can probably see that these actions point rather directly to steps in a
strategy building process.

III – Conclusion & recommendation to the topic discussed.

I therefore conclude that the most impactful when applied in the context of cross-
functional and integrated business planning and execution. Whether small or Big Data,
the goal is to consistently make better decisions to improve an organization’s planning
and execution toward achieving top- and bottom-line growth objectives
