eCommerce – ASP.Net (C#) + SQL Server.

Abstract:

Today internet become reality and usage of internet become very much popular and
there is tremendous increase of online shopping in all over the world. There is so many advantages of
online shopping for buyer and seller, and today’s most advanced payment gateway can easily handle
online transaction easily without any security threat. Seller need not required to establish store to sale
his product buyer can bye product as per their convenient from anywhere anytime.

Ecommerce does have unique advantages for business Imagine a shop, a showroom or an
office that is open 24hrs a day, 7 days a week. Proposed eCommerce application is a B2C (business to
consumer) application where consumer can buy the product online. This system can able to handle
the sale of computer hardware parts online.

Advantages

 Provides complete web site solution, including shopping cart, product management, customer
management, Logical access management.
 All products are categorized by manufacture, and provide powerful product search facilities;
search can be done by using product name, product description.
 Payment Gateway Integration, all payments are processed by PayPal. System should able to
pass the required details to process the payment and update the transaction after successful
payments.
 Add multiple product to shopping card, automatic calculate the shipping price, calculate tax
and calculate total amount.

Project Scope:

The eCommerce System will permit online computer hardware sales and maintaining master
information and generating various reports of sales at various stages. The main users of the project
are Customer and system Administrator. From an end-user perspective, the eCommerce System
Project consists of two functional elements: an enhanced Customer module for search products, buy
products, manage profile, shopping cart, checkout. And Administration module for Mange product,
users, vendors and view the reports.

Modules:

All Module Related to eCommerce, Include Product Master, Customer Registration, Vendor,
Shopping Cart, Check Out, Calculate Checkout amount, Search Product by name, product category,
Web based site administration. etc.

RAM : 1 GB or Greater.

Limitations of the Software:

This project was developed to fulfill user requirement; however there are lots of scope to
improve the performance of the eCommerce Application for Hardware Sale System in the area of
user interface, database performance, and query processing time. Etc.

Future Enhancements:

 SMS and Email alert for order confirmation.

 Integration with other legacy accounting database through Web Service.
